TONY AWARD-WINNING MUSICAL CHICAGO OPENS REP'S 43RD SEASON

Opportunity knocks as Arkansas Repertory Theatre opens its 2019 Season with the Tony Award-winning production, Chicago. The musical-book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse; music by Jon Kander; lyrics by Fred Ebb-is based on a play of the same name by Chicago Tribune reporter and playwright Maurine Dallas Watkins.

After auditioning performers in New York City, Los Angeles, and Sacramento, California Musical Theatre has confirmed casting for all six shows in the 66th Music Circus season. The stellar cast for the season is loaded with Broadway veterans--some of whom are making their Music Circus debuts--Tony nominees, and audience favorites from previous Music Circus productions.

Karoline Leach's Tryst, an Edwardian psychological thriller is a dark and dreamlike encounter between two intensely damaged souls. George Love (Mark Shanahan) is a con man that marries lonely women for their money. Adelaide Pinchin (Andrea Maulella) is a stifled milliner who sees through George's lies but thinks she might be content to stay with him.

North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) has announced that one of the most critically acclaimed musicals of all time, SHOW BOAT, will perform from September 23 to October 12, 2008. Press Night is scheduled for September 25th at 7:30 pm. This project has been made possible by the National Endowment for the Arts as part of American Masterpieces: Three Centuries of Artistic Genius.

American Theatre of Actors (James Jennings, Artistic Director) will present the world premiere of Barry Primus' Wonder Comes on the Seventh Day, directed by Mr. Primus, with original choreography by Julie Arenel, music by Galt MacDermot and produced by Oren Bonen.
