Theatrical licensor Music Theatre International announced the total revenue collectively raised by theatres across the globe from MTI’s All Together Now! - A Global Event Celebrating Local Theatre. 

A new musical podcast sequel to Annie explores the events five years after the musical takes place. It will star Laura Benanti as Miss Hannigan, Lance Reddick as Oliver Warbucks, Abbie-Grace Levi as Annie, and Alan Ruck as Drake. Episode from the first season will be released weekly on Mondays throughout the next year.

The critics have weighed in on NBC's latest live television musical. The live holiday spectacular starred Celina Smith as Annie, Taraji P. Available everywhere now, the soundtrack features vocals by Harry Connick, Jr., Nicole Scherzinger, Tituss Burgess and Megan Hilty, with newcomer Celina Smith in the titular role of Annie and Taraji P. Tonight, NBC will air its sixth live musical production. Following in the footsteps of The Sound of Music, Peter Pan, The Wiz, Hairspray, and Jesus Christ Superstar, the peacock network will be presenting Annie. Based on Harold Gray's comic strip titled Little Orphan Annie, this musical tells the story of a little orphan with equal measures of pluck and positivity who charms everyone's hearts, despite a next-to-nothing start in New York City in the year 1933.
