Tokyo Joe's introduces its latest creation, the Banh Mi Bowl just in time for summer. This decadent bowl includes white chicken tossed in homemade Joe's BBQ sauce, pickled veggies, avocados, chopped greens, cilantro, jalapenos, a sous vide (soft poached) egg, black lava sea salt and drizzled with Joe's spicy aioli over white rice. The Florentine Opera Company continues its 85th Anniversary Season with Con Amore: The Baumgartner Studio Artists in Concert, February 8 - 10 at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts. This hand-crafted concert features operatic love songs, ballads old and new, and Broadway tunes to help audiences explore all the different meanings, and phases, of love.

"This show, specifically tailored to the family experience, is sure to delight audience members from ages eight to 80" announced Artistic Director Matt Stabile. The South Florida Silver Palm Theatre Awards, founded ten years ago to honor theatrical excellence in South Florida, has announced that this year it will present the coveted award to 28 individuals and organizations.

This New City Players production of True West will be appearing at The Vanguard through August 27, 2017. The Vanguard is located at 1501 S. Andrews Avenue, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

True West marks the third and final production of New City Players' second season. True West will be directed by ensemble member Mary Gundlach. It will star founding members Andrew Paul Davis & Timothy Mark Davis, along with John Holley & Lory Reyes.

Geoffrey Nauffts highly-acclaimed Next Fall is something of a theatrical success story, with the original 2009 production receiving critical praise, an extended Broadway season and a Tony-Award nomination. The play follows the five-year relationship of unlikely couple Adam - a frustrated and neurotic forty-year-old writer and atheist - and Luke, a 20-something year old devout Christian who cannot come out to his parents. Their history is revealed through flashbacks, while in the present Luke fights for life in hospital after an accident and family and friends gather to hold vigil. Perhaps a victim of the reputation that precedes it, this production is only intermittently moving and ultimately it is hard to see what all the fuss is about.
