Mayor Adams Announces Plan to Invest Over $22 Million in NYC Cultural Organizations

New York City Mayor Eric Adams and New York City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams announced that the city will make multiple investments in New York City’s cultural sector by allocating more than $22 million over the next three fiscal years for the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA) as part of the city’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 Executive Budget.

Working with a cast of 22 dancers, teen through millennial, Colon's vision for the Next Generation Ballet 'On Your Feet' medley is a movement storyline with many choreography changes and using bodies as scene changes, directing the eye to where to go. Most of the piece is Jazz dancing with a little Latin flair.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams and Department of Cultural Affairs Commissioner Laurie Cumbo have launched an interactive map and website showcasing artwork commissioned over the course of the program's history and declared March 14, 2024 “Percent for Art Day” in the city of New York in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Percent for Art program.
