Critically acclaimed Broadway and cabaret star, Christine Andreas, returns to The Pheasantry with her show 'Here's to the Ladies', written in collaboration with composer Martin Silvestri. The show is a tribute to the great ladies of the theatre, as she interprets classics from Funny Girl, South Pacific, Showboat, The King and I, Mame and many more. With her thrilling voice and startling grasp of character, the golden age of musicals is brought back to vibrant life.

Written by Adam Guettel, the grandson of Richard Rodgers (one-half of Rodgers and Hammerstein), the show centers around a vacation love story and the challenges that come from it.

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced details for the second annual WOMEN IN THEATRE series. The event is presented under the auspices of Women of WaterTower Theatre (WOW!) and it is co-chaired by Karol Omlor and Andrea Redmon. This is the second lecture in the series (the first was held last year and featured female directors), and it will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm (with a post-lecture reception in the lobby with the artists). The event will be held in the Main Space at WaterTower Theatre. The lecture will be moderated by the Dallas Observer's Arts and Culture Editor Lauren Smart, and features Pam Dougherty, Jenny Ledel, Denise Lee, Sarah Elizabeth Smith and Wendy Welch.

Hosted by Julian Clary, with an introduction by Ian McKellen, the evening of song, speech and music to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Ian Charleson Day Centre at the Royal Free Hospital will include performances by Michael Cashman, Anne Reid and Stefan Bednarczyk, the X Factor's Anton Stephans, mezzo-soprano Sarah Connolly, actor Jack Lowden and the London Gay Men's Choir.

Theatre Raleigh announces the 2016 Hot Summer Nights Season including a return of the family favorite The Wolf (March 3-20). Next, Theatre Raleigh will premier an adapted story, The Mystery of Edwin Drood A Musical by Rupert Holmes- (May 11 - 22), followed by Arthur Miller's classic All My Sons (June 7 - 19) and The Light in the Piazza (July 6 - 14), presented in the gallery at the North Carolina Museum of Art. Finally, the Southern classic, Steel Magnolias (July 27 - August 7) and the story of the famed recording session Million Dollar Quartet (August 17 - 28) will round out the season.

The Actors' Equity Association presents 'PASS IT ON: Thriving Artists Reflect on a Life in the Theatre', moderated by Ira Mont and featuring Victoria Clark, Mercedes Ellington, Dana Ivey and Jeff Williams, on Monday, October 26, 2015 at Actors' Equity Association - NYC (165 West 46th Street, 14th Floor Council Room).

In November, Two Muses Theatre will present the wondrous musical: The Light in the Piazza. (Book by Craig Lucas. Music and Lyrics by Adam Guettel.)  The Light in the Piazza, winner of many Tony Awards, is as simple and complicated as its ineffable subject--love. When Clara falls for a charming young Italian man  in a Florentine piazza, her mother must decide whether or not she will reveal truths about her daughter that could destroy the romance. The show will be performed on weekends, opening on November 6 and closing on November 22. The Light in the Piazza is directed by Joe Bailey, Artistic Director of The Ringwald Theatre in Ferndale, with musical direction by Jeff Bobick.
