Due to popular demand, Flat Rock Playhouse has extended their production of A Flat Rock Playhouse Christmas, A Virtual Production. You can now enjoy this year's one-of-a-kind show through January 1st!

The tradition continues with A Flat Rock Playhouse Christmas, A Virtual Production. For the past four years, the Playhouse has been able to celebrate the holidays with our community and beloved patrons through their Flat Rock Playhouse Christmas productions.

Flat Rock Playhouse bids farewell to 2019 with a holiday celebration that's sure to entertain and inspire. For the third year in a row, A Flat Rock Playhouse Christmas will close out the season in style and whimsy. This production features beloved holiday songs, spectacular dance numbers, sublime vocals, and hilarious sketches. Running November 29th - December 30th, A Flat Rock Playhouse Christmas, guarantees wholesome and jovial entertainment with classics such as “Ave Maria”, “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”, and “Sleigh Ride”.

Known for its glorious score by Rodgers and Hammerstein, the show transports audiences to the Pacific Islands in World War II as young couples struggle with the dynamics of love, war, and faith. Yet, South Pacific also showcases a vibrant, delightful comedic side found in the business of everyday life: raising children, relationship squabbles, and workplace gossip.

If Flat Rock Playhouse's 2019 Homecoming Season celebrates family, love, and adventure, then Neil Simon's Proposals, checks all three boxes. Simon is known for hits such as The Odd Couple, Barefoot in the Park, and Lost in Yonkers, and much like his other comedies, Proposals recounts the highs and lows of family life with laughter, punctuated by moments of connection and discovery.

Flat Rock Playhouse launched the premiere production of A Flat Rock Playhouse Christmas in 2017 and broke box office records for a seasonal production. Featuring favorite holiday songs, spectacular dance numbers, and sublime vocals, A Flat Rock Playhouse Christmas had audiences a-ring-ting-tingle-ing for more.

Premiering on the West End in 1999 and Broadway in 2002, Mamma Mia earned commercial and critical success. It received 5 Tony nominations including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, and Best Orchestrations. Mamma Mia is the longest running jukebox musical on Broadway and sits comfortably in the top ten longest-running Broadway shows. This musical features notable favorites 'Thank You for the Music,' 'Dancing Queen,' and 'Take a Chance on Me.'

The Flat Rock Playhouse continues the 2018 season with the highly anticipated blockbuster musical, Mamma Mia! This spirited jukebox musical featuring the music of the hit Swedish pop group, ABBA, tells the story of a daughter's search to find her father before her upcoming wedding. The soon-to-be bride, Sophie, decides to take matters into her own hands when her independent mother, Donna, refuses to talk about her past, including the identity of Sophie's father. While Donna, the former lead singer of the 1970's pop group, Donna and the Dynamos, helps Sophie get ready for the wedding, Sophie secretly invites three men who could be her father to the wedding. When the three could-be fathers arrive, things might not be as clear-cut as Sophie thought. Guided by the fabulous music of ABBA, Mamma Mia stands out as a worldwide phenomenon that has audiences singing along and dancing the night away.

In an original revue with holiday favorites for the whole family, Flat Rock Playhouse brings the spirit and magic of Christmas to life onstage Vagabond style! A Flat Rock Playhouse Christmas will run November 25th through December 22nd on the Flat Rock Playhouse Mainstage.
