Chicago Shakespeare Theater announces today the Queens of the critically acclaimed new musical SIX, written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, which makes its North American premiere in The Yard at Chicago Shakespeare, May 14-June 30, 2019.

Today (Tuesday 5 March), actors Sheila Atim and Giles Terera announced the nominations for the Olivier Awards 2019 with Mastercard, which takes place on Sunday 7 April at the Royal Albert Hall, hosted by Jason Manford.

Fans of SIX, the concert-style hit musical featuring the six wives of Henry VIII as a girl group, are to get the chance to be Queen for a night at the show's first Sing Along show in the West End on June 6, 2019.

The cast of SIX on the West End celebrated their 100th performance this weekend. The audience on Saturday evening even got to take away a piece of the celebration cake!

Today, Citadel Theatre's Artistic Director, Daryl Cloran, announced his next season of programming, which includes another exciting international partnership for the Citadel, and many Canadian, North American, and World Premieres. The 2019/20 Season will feature a new series, Highwire, which promises innovative experiences for the theatrically adventurous. And, for the first time, the Citadel will offer a summer musical. With many sold out performances and limited availability in the first booking period, the producers of SIX today announce that it is extending to January 5, 2020.

With over 21,000 votes cast, the winners have today been announced for The Curtain Up Show Album of the Year 2018.

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 34 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2019 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 21 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater has just announced that the Theater will stage the critically acclaimed new musical SIX, written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, following its debut in the United Kingdom and celebrated West End run. The six wives of King Henry VIII join forces for an electrifying musical celebration of empowerment-shining a spotlight on women who are so much more than the history books might have us believe. Directed by Lucy Moss and Jamie Armitage, the Chicago Shakespeare production will be presented in The Yard at Chicago Shakespeare, May 14-June 30, 2019. Casting is underway and will be announced at a later date.

Final casting is announced today for the return of SIX, the hit musical by recent Cambridge grads Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss. SIX returns to the Arts Theatre in the West End, where it ran for a short, sold out season in 2018.

In 2018, I saw 101 productions ranging from black box theatres with more actors in the cast than punters in the stalls to huge productions at the Royal Opera House and London Coliseum.

Club Mex, a part-immersive, part-musical clubbing experience, will get its world premiere at the Hope Mill Theatre, Manchester, from Thursday 17 January - Sunday 10 February 2019.
