A new 'Covid-Secure' production of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST will open at the Malthouse Theatre in Canterbury for a strictly limited run from Friday 11 December 2020.

Amongst all of the bad news in our industry at the moment, there comes a beacon of light from the heart of Cambridge, with the opening of a brand new venue: The Town and Gown Pub & Theatre.

The show must go on! Although UK theatres have closed their doors for the time being, The Showstoppers decided to still perform their Olivier Award-winning improv for audiences via Facebook livestream. Watch the video here!

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, will present a special celebratory concert to mark the 10th anniversary of the musical Yank! opening off-Broadway. When this romantic gay love story set during WWII opened in 2010 at the York Theatre it was a surprise hit, garnering rave reviews and a raft of award nominations (Best New Musical and Score from the Outer Critics Circle, Outstanding Musical by the Lucille Lortel Awards, and 6 Drama Desk nods, including Best Musical, Music and Lyrics).

The Randy Andys Holiday Fête brought sass and spirit in equal measure to Pangea last night. The 'girl group gone retro' is a singing trio of actresses (à la The Andrews Sisters) in rotating formations based on who is in town. They were in full swing last night with 9 of the Andys lending their voices, beauty, and charisma to the show, in addition to a couple of delightful holiday guests.

Tobacco Factory Theatres has announced its programme for Dec 19 - May 20, including a brand new in-house production of Edward Albee's electrifying drama, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, a wide-ranging programme of touring theatre and lots of new creative learning opportunities for audiences and communities in Bristol.

Focusing on the origins of the Queen who brings endless winter, the cast includes: Frances Marshall, Ayesha Casely-Hayford, Esmonde Cole, Sarah-Louise Young, Justin Brett, Paula James and Matt Cavendish. The production is adapted by Charles Way and directed by Abigail Anderson, with a national press night on Friday 6 December, 7pm.

The producers of the UK Premiere of Off-Broadway smash-hit comedy musical The Marvelous Wonderettes have announced today that the show will transfer to the Theatre Royal Windsor when it concludes its run at Upstairs at the Gatehouse, Highgate Village on Sunday 12 May 2019. The show will play the Theatre Royal Windsor from Thursday 16 May until Saturday 25 May 2019 for thirteen performances only.
