Segerstrom Center for the Arts is pleased to bring the second of two brand new Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals to Orange County: School of Rock - The Musical. Following two weeks of packed houses for Webber's Love Never Dies, this high-octane Broadway and West End hit comes to Segerstrom Hall July 24 - August 5, 2018. This hilarious musical features all the original songs from the 2003 film plus 14 new songs written specially for the show by Andrew Lloyd Webber and musical theater's first-ever all-kids rock band.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's smash hit School of Rock - The Musical will welcome eight new cast members to the national tour on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. Rocking their way across the country will be Alyssa Emily Marvin as Marcy, Grier Burke as Tomika, Vincent Molden as Zack, Huxley Westemeier as Billy and Iara Nemirovsky as Summer. Once, winner of eight 2012 Tony® Awards including Best Musical and winner of the 2013 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, will play the National Theatre for a limited engagement from November 25 -27, 2016. The cast will feature Sam Cieri as "Guy" and Mackenzie Lesser-Roy as "Girl," along with Lily Caputo, Jenn Chandler, Barry DeBois, Nyssa Duchow, Liam Fennecken, Lynn Flickinger, Isaac Haas, John Hays,Julia Hoffmann, Angel Lin, Bristol Pomeroy, Adam Huel Potter, Lauren Thomas, Dan Tracy, Grant Alan Watkins, and Luke Wygodny. Guy meets girl. They make some music. And they either end up together or apart, delighting or devastating their respective audiences. It's just as typical a story as the romance of the Broadway musical (and usually has a similar effect). Well, Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova's Once is hailed for dashing the typical boy meets girl tale, and its North American tour installment does not seem to do typical either. Magic was made at New Haven's Shubert Theatre last night as the cast of Once took their first bow of the weekend (and received the first of what are likely to become many standing ovations).

Casting has been announced for the new edition of Marc Eardley's EPIC FAIL directed by Marc Eardleyand presented Off-Broadway at The Laurie Beechman Theater by Graydon Gund and The New York Musical Theatre Festival. There will be three performances of EPIC FAIL July 8th at 9:30, and July 12th at 5:00 and 8:00pm. Tickets for EPIC FAIL went on sale June 16th.

The hugely talented national tour cast of Green Day-penned Broadway rock musical AMERICAN IDIOT showed off their penchant for contemporary music with a spectacular rock showcase earlier this month and an extensive collection of clips from the performance are now available to view.

Unable to see AMERICAN IDIOT in New York City, I am so happy that the Third National Tour finally brought the show to Houston, TX. This lively, youthful cast owns every moment of this explosive and exhilarating AMERICAN IDIOT, and I can't imagine any other cast performing this rollicking, raucous piece as well as they do. Every human on the stage gives this show everything they can, and the end result is something I'll cherish for years to come.

The national tour of Green Day's AMERICAN IDIOT comes to Broward Center for the Performing Arts on March 25th.
