The production opens on Ms. Nyro's 66th birthday, tonight, October 18th, and runs for six performances beginning tonight, October 18 to Sunday, October 27, 2013, at The TBG Theatre, 312 West 36th Street, 3rd Floor in NYC.

Tickets to Bergen County Players' hit production of BEEHIVE, THE 60s MUSICAL are selling so fast that the Oradell based community theater has opened a new block of tickets for an added performance on Saturday, March 2, at 2PM. Those who thought they were shut out can now order today to get great seats! Jetset Getset (JSGS) will return to Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill in Cincinnati for a three-hour concert tonight, January 23. It will be the group's second appearance at Cincinnati's largest country-music nightclub, following their standing room-only album release concert in November. It will also mark the hometown debut of 13-year-old drumming sensation Gillian Bowman, who joined the teenage, Cincinnati-area band in December.

Louisville's oldest nightclub will welcome one of the youngest musical groups ever to play there, when Jetset Getset takes the stage at the historic Phoenix Hill Tavern tonight, January 17.

So many cabaret shows, so little time . . . to write reviews that is. During his almost two years as a cabaret reviewer, BroadwayWorld.com critic Stephen Hanks managed to do a pretty good job of writing critiques during a show's run or soon after the run ended. But this summer he just couldn't keep up. Finally, here are observations on 10 performances over the past two months.

Winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, BCP's 80th season opener will feature a live orchestra and a cast of over 30.

Two actors, two chairs, one jacket. Physically, that's what is on stage right now at Manbites Dog Theater in Durham. Their current production of Daniel MacIvor's play In on It almost redefines minimalism, in a sense. It almost seems like those elements of the show (set, props, etc.) are stepping aside to let the work itself shine. And shine it most certainly does.

MusicalFare Theatre's 2012-2013 Subscription Season consists of a world premiere musical, two regional premieres, and two reconceived classics.

Usually wild, unbridled and cutting edge, as with last year's Avalon outing L'Amour, GMCLA pulled back somewhat this year in TOTALLY...our 80s Show with more subdued, straightforward staging. Always vocally superior, the chorus sounded its usual best essaying the unforgettable hits of the 80s and showing the pop icons and news events of that time period on three screens throughout. Under the new executive direction of Thom Lynch and with guest conductor Andres Cladera, the 200 plus chorus were dress gaily in a mix of cowboy, indian, leather with appropriate headgear, including brightly colored wigs, that distinguished the late seventies and eighties. Vocal selections included those of Sting, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Paul Jabara, the Pointer Sisters, the Weather Girls, Annie Lenox, Cyndi Lauper, and Michael and Leslie Gore, among others.

The new Broadway musical Baby It's You! tells the inspiring story of Florence Greenberg, the woman who changed the recording world forever when she discovered The Shirelles and created Scepter Records, becoming the music industry's first female powerhouse. Starring Tony Award winner Beth Leavel as Greenberg, conceived by Floyd Mutrux, directed by Floyd Mutruxand Sheldon Epps, and written by Tony nominated book writers Mutrux and Colin Escott, the team behind Broadway's Million Dollar Quartet, Baby It's You! began performances at Broadway's Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street) Saturday, March 26, 2011, and opens TONIGHT, April 27, 2011, at 6:30pm. Baby It's You! features a cast of 19 that includes Allan Louis, Geno Henderson, Erica Ash, Kelli Barrett, Kyra DaCosta, Crystal Starr Knighton, Barry Pearl, Christina Sajous, Brandon Uranowitz,Alison Cimmet, Erica Dorfler, Berlando Drake, Adam Heller, Jahi A. Kearse, Annette Moore, Zachary Prince, Ken Robinson and Chelsea Morgan Stock.

Hartt celebrates its Jazz alumni on Monday, April 25, when several alumni of Hartt's Jackie McLean Institute of Jazz join together for a concert and evening of fond reminiscence, followed by a special dessert reception.
