Mercury Theatre, Colchester, Brian Eastman and Christabel Albery present a new musical comedy based on the StudioCanal Peter Sellers/Margaret Rutherford film THE SMALLEST SHOW ON EARTH. The UK tour of THE SMALLEST SHOW ON EARTH began performances 25 September at the Mercury Theatre, Colchester, before playing Coventry, High Wycombe, Glasgow, Plymouth, Crewe, Swansea and Malvern. Theatre MAD (Make A Difference Trust) will present WEST END BARES 2015 'TAKE OFF' at the Cafe De Paris, Coventry Street, W1 on Sunday 20 September 2015 at 9.30pm and Midnight. According to the official Facebook page, the event will be hosted by Graham Norton, and featuring West End Star, Beverley Knight, comedian Hrh Joe Harry Lycett and RuPaul's Drag Race'sThe Bianca Del Rio.

The Producers, a Mel Brooks musical, has been a favourite of mine since I saw the Las Vegas production years ago starring David Hasselhoff - who was surprisingly good, I might add! The show had been condensed into an hour and a half straight through which worked well in my opinion. The musical was adapted from the 1968 film of the same name and opened on Broadway in 1991, receiving 12 Tony Awards - a massive achievement by any standard. The 2005 film version was also very enjoyable and starred original Broadway cast members Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick.
