Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning writer of A STRANGE LOOP Michael R. Jackson played the role of Usher in yesterday's matinee and evening performances of the show at the Lyceum Theatre on Broadway. 

Tonight's performance of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, A Strange Loop,'was canceled just as the audience arrived at the theatre.

AT THIS PERFORMANCE…  returns to The Green Room 42 featuring Standbys, Understudies and Alternates from SIX THE MUSICAL; & JULIET;  KIMBERLY AKIMBO; ALMOST FAMOUS; MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG; KINKY BOOTS and BAT OUT OF HELL.  

Trevor Noah will host a special Black Theater Night performance at A STRANGE LOOP on Tuesday, November 29th at 7pm at The Lyceum Theatre.

At This Performance…  will return to The Green Room 42 featuring standbys, understudies, and alternates From Moulin Rouge! The Musical; Almost Famous; Hadestown; Funny Girl; Aladdin; and Paradise Square.  

The original Broadway Cast Recording of A Strange Loop, Michael R. Jackson’s Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical, has been released on CD today, Friday, November 4. The album is also available in digital and streaming formats.

Tony winner Michael R. Jackson and Kyle Ramar Freeman appeared on SHERRI this morning to sing 'Memory Song' from A Strange Loop. Earlier in the episode, Jackson sat down with Sherri Shepherd to discuss the show's success on Broadway. Freeman understudies the roles of Usher and Thought 4, 5, and 6 in the show. The Tony Award-winning Best Musical A STRANGE LOOP will play its final Broadway performance on January 15, 2023. Michael R. Jackson’s A STRANGE LOOP opened April 26, at the Lyceum Theatre. A Strange Loop was named Best Musical by the Tony Awards.

Bob the Drag Queen will host a Big, Black and Queer Night for the Tony Award-winning Best Musical A STRANGE LOOP on Thursday, October 27, at 7 p.m.

Beginning today, Friday, August 12 at 11AM, same day $55 digital rush tickets will be available for Broadway’s A STRANGE LOOP. Digital rush tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, throughout the day, until 30 minutes before the performance time. One person may buy up to 2 tickets at $55 each.
