?Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of Sidney Howard's "The Late Christopher Bean," a comedy about paintings left to a family by a deceased artist suddenly skyrocketing in value, on Monday, June 27, at 7 p.m.  The play will be directed by Anne Keefe, Playhouse associate artist and curator of the playreading series. Tickets are $20 each. 

The musical Death Takes a Holiday, currently playing at the Arvada Center, doesn't just breathe a little life into Death-it makes him out to be a hopeless romantic.

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities will open the regional premiere of Death Takes a Holiday directed by Arvada Center Artistic Producer, Rod A. Lansberry in the Main Stage Theatre on April 26, running through May 15, 2016. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m.; Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m., Previews are April 22 - 24 at 7:30 p.m. nightly.  Moderated Talk Backs are scheduled on Friday, May 6 following the 7:30 p.m. performance and Wednesday, May 11 following the 1:00 p.m. performance. Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of DRACULA, the mystery-thriller about a young woman falling victim to a vampire, on Monday, November 16, at 7 p.m.  Director is Anne Keefe, Playhouse associate artist and curator of the playreading series. The play is dramatized by Hamilton Deane and John L. Balderston, from the novel by Bram Stoker.

The York Theatre Company, and its acclaimed Developmental Reading Series, will present two new works: Angel in My Heart that has book, music & lyrics by Bob Ost, with additional music by Kenn Schmidt, and What Do Critics Know? with book by Matt Gurren and music & lyrics by James Campodonico and Mr. Gurren at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (619 Lexington Avenue, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). The readings are open to the public with a suggested donation of $5.00.
