Until October 27th, Wayne State will be showcasing their sold-out production of Heathers: The Musical at the 110-seat theatre, Underground at the Hilberry. Based on the 1988 movie, Heathers: The Musical has music, lyrics, and a book by Laurence O'Keefe and Kevin Murphy.

Following two record-breaking seasons at London's The Other Palace and West End transfer to the Theatre Royal Haymarket in 2018 and having won the WhatsOnStage 2019 award for 'BEST NEW MUSICAL', Heathers the Musical will embark on a highly anticipated UK tour from 2020.

Heathers: The Musical is a rock musical with music, lyrics and book by Laurence O'Keefe and Kevin Murphy, based on the 1988 film of the same name written by Daniel Waters. While it is a high-energy black comedy, the show opens conversations about dark issues, including bullying, teen suicide, sexual assault, and violence in schools and now receives its first theatrical production in Brazil.

Cue Zero Theatre Company, NH Magazine's Best of NH 2019 'Best 'New' Theatre', continues its mission of supporting local artists and creating challenging theatrical endeavors by announcing an ambitious second season. Their 2019/2020 plans include three main stage productions, a continuation of their ever popular Guerrilla Shakespeare Series, and some fun new side projects, including an attempt to earn a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records!

A workshop production of Reefer Madness The Musical will be held on Thursday, July 11 and Friday, July 12, 2019.

GHOSTLIGHT RECORDS has announced that Heathers the Musical: Original West End Cast Recording has been released on CD online and in stores today, Friday, May 31.

Heathers: The Musical has recently enjoyed a limited West End run, following an extremely successful production debuting at The Other Palace in London. The show is based on the 1988 film of the same name and although it is overwhelmingly a comedy piece, dark issues are tackled including bullying, suicide and homophobia.

We Are Here Productions announces the Tony Award winning musical Urinetown The Musical to benefit WaterAid Canada. Mean girls, Heather, Heather and Heather, rule Westerberg High School in "Heathers The Musical," featuring book, music, and lyrics by Kevin Murphy and Laurence O'Keefe, with direction by James R. Taulli at Cal State Fullerton, April 19-May 5 in the Young Theatre on campus.

"Lysistrata" tells the story of the legendary Athenian, Lysistrata, who calls upon the women of Greece to help put an end to the Peloponnesian War. In order to do so, all women must refuse to have sex with their husbands until they agree to peace in Greece. Inspired by Aristophanes and adapted by Ellen McLaughlin, "Lysistrata" is directed by award-winning actor/director Rufus Bonds Jr., and runs from April 12-May 5, 2019 in the Hallberg Theatre on campus.

Heathers the Musical (High School Edition) is the darkly delicious story of Veronica Sawyer, a brainy, beautiful teenage misfit who hustles her way into the most powerful and ruthless clique at Westerberg High, the Heathers. But before she can get comfortable atop the high school food chain, Veronica falls in love with the dangerously handsome new kid J.D.

The Howard Community College (HCC) Theatre Program will present Laurence O'Keefe and Kevin Murphy's “Heathers the Musical,” featuring HCC students and guest artists, March 14 – 17, 2019. Performances will take place in the college's Smith Theatre, located within the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center (HVPA).

The newly released West End cast recording of Heathers includes all the fan-favorite songs from the original version, as well as a few new additions. For longtime fans, it's a welcome treat to have an updated version, but it's unlikely to win over longtime skeptics.
