In anticipation of the September 2019 release of the Downton Abbey feature film, DOWNTON ABBEY LIVE! is a celebration of all aspects of the wildly successful British drama a?" the stellar cast, superb writing, spectacular locations and dazzling costumes. Broadcast from New York City before a live studio audience, scheduled participants include cast members Laura Carmichael (Lady Edith), Phyllis Logan (Mrs. Hughes), Lesley Nicol (Mrs. Patmore), Kevin Doyle (Molesley), Harry Hadden-Paton (Bertie), and Michael C. Fox (Andrew Parker) with executive producers Gareth Neame and Liz Trubridge. Composer John Lunn will also be live in the New York studio, performing piano arrangements of his evocative themes from the series. Additional live segments currently scheduled include costume designer Anna Mary Scott Robbins from WTTW Chicago; new taped interviews with Hugh Bonneville and Julian Fellowes will also be featured. Hosted by award-winning ABC News journalist (and huge a?oeDowntona?? fan!) Deborah Roberts, DOWNTON ABBEY LIVE! premieres Sunday, August 18, 2019, at 9:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. PT on PBS.
Fiddle Supergroup Childsplay Announces Final Tour

Led by acclaimed fiddler and luthier Bob Childs, Childsplay is heading on tour for one final time. The fiddle supergroup will be making stops in six cities across the Northeast culminating with a performance at New York's CitySpace and two performances at the Sanders Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The farewell concerts will feature music from the groups seven albums and will include surprise guests that have been part of Childsplay during their 32-year run. Tickets for the November concerts go on sale this Friday, June 28 at www.childsplay.org.

Zap Nasty aka (Damon Ramsey) is the lead singer and songwriter for the rock band Superhero Rokkstars who made their Honolulu debut in August 2018. In the style of variety shows of the '60s and '70s, the show will feature guests ranging from singers to burlesque dancers who 'stop by' to tell some jokes, sing, and dance. There will be audience interaction as well as a bar and pre-show activities.

THE ARTS -- a new docu-drama by Kevin Doyle/ Sponsored By Nobody about the checkered history of public funding for the arts in the U.S. -- will be given its world-premiere production by LA MAMA, the 2018 Tony Award-winning theatre company, with preview performances beginning September 13 prior to the play's official opening September 16 at the Ellen Stewart Theatre (66 E. 4 St.) in Manhattan. This debut of THE ARTS marks the start of the 57th season at La MaMa, led by artistic director Mia Yoo.
