Last season's laugh out loud holiday hit returns to Lawrenceville this winter for a repeat engagement. The hilariously festive show The 12 Dates of Christmas takes Aurora Theatre audiences on an adventure into the mishaps of one woman's journey back into the dating scene, tonight November 29 - December 20.

Staring Jaclyn Hofmann, written by American Shakespeare Center's Ginna Hoben and directed by Kelly Criss, this limited four-week engagement is perfect for date night, ladies night out or to celebrate the holiday season in a perfectly exceptional way.

The Suzi Bass Awards, Inc. revealed nominations for the 2013-2014 Atlanta professional theatrical season this evening to theatre patrons and industry artists. The Suzi Nomination Party, which rotates venues, was hosted this year by Actor's Express in the King Plow Arts Center of Atlanta. Guest announcers included performers Christy Baggett, Laura Cole, Danielle Deadwyler, and Tess Malis Kincaid.

The Weird Sisters Theatre Project continue their 2014 summer season with Late: A Cowboy Song by Sarah Ruhl at Actor's Express theatre, July 21-August 5. The play is an early work of the award-winning playwright about perpetually late Mary, a woman who is desperately searching to find herself.

The Brand Signature Series concludes Aurora Theatre's 18th season with the hysterical Don't Dress for Dinner by Marc Camoletti. The show runs May 1-25, 2014. In this this hilarious romp through the French countryside, Bernard concocts a romantic rendezvous with his mistress with an alibi courtesy of his friend, Robert. But Bernard's wife decides on a surprise tryst of her own. With a gourmet cook and a randy mistress-both named Suzy-a wacky collision course of mistaken identity and outrageous infidelity ensues. By the author of Aurora's 2010 hit Boeing-Boeing.

STAGE DOOR PLAYERS, Dunwoody's own professional theatre company, continues its 40th Anniversary Season with Miracle on South Division Street by Tom Dudzick, directed by Dina Shadwell. The show opens on Friday, March 21, 8pm curtain, and runs until April 13. The cast features mother-son duo Susan Shalhoub Larkin and Tony Larkin (on stage together for the first time!), Kara Cantrell, and Kelly Criss (who just directed SDP's On Golden Pond). Aurora Theatre is giving patrons what they have been asking for-more holiday programing. In addition to the perennial favorite one-man A Christmas Carol, featuring Anthony P. Rodriguez, Aurora adds a hilariously irreverent one-woman show, The 12 Dates of Christmas. These shows will run for a limited 3-week engagement December 5-22 in repertory. Tickets are $15 to each show. Showtimes vary. See both shows with the Combo Ticket for only $25. The Combo Ticket is good for any combination of 2 shows you choose. The holidays are twice as nice when you get two tickets for one low price.

The oddly chipper Norwegian Prince Fortinbras swoops in to Denmark to find himself in charge of a nation, but with the PR nightmare of having to explain all the deaths at Elsinore. Finding Horatio's account of the murders implausible, Fortinbras decides to make up the truth, much to the ire of the recently dispatched ghosts roaming the corridors, who want the true tale told.
