THE MOST INCREDIBLE THING, a ballet with music by the Pet Shop Boys, will premiere at London's Sadler's Wells on March 22, 2011, whatsonstage.com reports. The ballet, based on Hans Christian Anderson's story, tells of a quest to find 'the most incredible thing' in order to marry a princess, the report says. Javier de Frutos will direct and choreograph, and Ivan Putov will star. The production will run until March 26, and there will be a week of previews before the opening, the report says.

The National Theatre has announced casting for its upcoming productions, starting with Moira Buffini's WELCOME TO THEBES which will run starting June 15. Nikki Amuka-Bird and David Harewood will star in the World Premiere of the play, which tells the Greek myth of the first democratically elected president of Thebes in a modernized way. Take where i am now at the Hampstead Theatre. Mike Leigh and David Hare are favourites here and tonights show is no exception at this cutting edge building and stage. Rehearsals on the eve of opening night are always a rush and a panic. But under cool headed Lucy Bailey the revival of Noel Coward's 'Private Lives' is proving to be a real hit with cast and critics alike. Broadway World caught up with her in a break from rehearsals after she'd sent via MMS, some photos of the actors going through their paces.
