On Monday, September 16, 2019, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation announced the 2019 recipients at the annual Off-Off-Broadway IT Awards. For the past 15 years, the It Awards have celebrated the vibrant and creative indie theatre community under the dedicated leadership of Executive Directors Shay Gines and Nick Micozzi who are stepping down and at the ceremony introduced new leadership for the organization: Cat Parker, Artistic Director of Articulate Theatre Company; Ariel Estrada, Producing Artistic Director of Leviathan Lab Projects; and Jazmyn Arroyo, Co-Founding Artistic Director of Step 1 Theatre Project will join Akia Squiteri, Artistic Director of Rising Sun Performance Company as Directors of the organization.

The Tank (Meghan Finn, Artistic Director) will present additional performances of Email Pro, a monthly comedy show created and performed by Ivan Anderson, in the 56-seat theater at The Tank (312 West 36th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues) on Tuesday, September 17 at 7pm, Tuesday, October 15 at 7pm, Tuesday, November 12 at 7pm, and Tuesday, December 17 at 7pm. Tickets ($5) are available for advance purchase at www.thetanknyc.org. The performance will run approximately 75 minutes, with no intermission.

The Tank will present its 2019-20 season at 312 West 36th Street in its 98-seat proscenium and 56-seat blackbox spaces. This season marks The Tank's 2nd anniversary in its home on West 36th Street and embodies the company's mission to break down economic barriers and invest in emerging artists by sustaining an incubator and home for the creation and presentation of their work.

Performances will be on Thursday, October 10 at 7pm & 9:30pm, Friday, October 11 at 7pm, Saturday, October 12 at 7pm, 9pm & 11pm, Thursday, October 17 at 7pm & 9:30pm, Friday, October 18 at 7pm, Saturday, October 19 at 7pm, Thursday, October 24 at 9:30pm, Friday, October 25 at 7pm, Saturday, October 26 at 7pm, 9pm & 11pm, Monday, October 28 at 7pm & 9pm, Tuesday, October 29 at 7pm & 9pm, Wednesday, October 30 at 7pm, and Thursday, October 31 at 7pm, 9pm & 11pm. The Tank will present Tonya Pinkins' Truth and Reconciliation: Womyn Working It Out! (produced by Katie Walenta) featuring new 10-minute plays by Jaisey Bates, Glory Kadigan, Jasmine McLeish, Tonya Pinkins, Kristine M Reyes, Carmen Rivera, Nikkole Salter, Nandita Shenoy, and Lucy Thurber, directed by Tonya Pinkins.

IAMA Theatre Company reconnects to the human heart in 2019-20, the company's 12th season, with three poignant premieres a?" a drama, a musical and a dark comedy.

On Monday, July 29, 2019, The New York Innovative Theatre Awards, announced the 2019 nominees for the annual Off-Off-Broadway awards. The It Awards have celebrated the vibrant and creative theatre community for the past 15 years.  The official announcement took place at (Le) Poisson Rouge by six celebrated artists and producers from the community including: Jazmyn Arroyo, Jennifer Betite Yen, Iyvon Edebiri, Chris Ignacio, Ashley Rogers, and Erez Ziv.

The Tank will present the World Premiere of I thought I would die but I didn't by Bailey Williams (Buffalo Bailey's Ranch for Gay Horses, Troubled Teen Girls and Other: a 90 Minute Timeshare Presentation at the 2018 Exponential Festival), directed by Sarah Blush (Sehnsucht at JACK), at The Tank (312 West 36th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues), May 9-23.

The Tank (Meghan Finn and Rosalind Grush, Artistic Directors) will present the World Premiere of Bathsheba's Psalms, Or A Woman of Unusual Beauty Taking a Bath by April Ranger (Must Wash Hands at Brooklyn College), directed by Christina Roussos (Magic Trick with Caps Lock Theatre) at The Tank (312 West 36th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues), April 4-21.
