Theatre for a New Audience announces details of its Spring Gala Celebrating Shakespeare's Birthday and online silent auction, held virtually and emceed by actor and TFANA Board Member Harry Lennix.  

In honor of World Press Freedom Day,  PlayMakers Repertory Company will release a limited encore run of the world premiere production of “Edges of Time,” written by Jacqueline E. Lawton. Directed by Jules Odendahl-James, “Edges of Time” will be available to stream from May 3 - 9, 2021.  

Shakespeare's Globe is preparing to reopen its outdoor theatre on 19 May 2021. Provided the conditions are met for Step 3 of the Government's roadmap for cultural reopening, the Globe will be welcoming audiences in for socially distanced performances, having closed on 18 March 2020.

Graeae Theatre Company has announced that it has added the archive recording of its co-production of Lorca's The House of Bernarda Alba, to its burgeoning digital offering, to sit alongside its production of Reasons To Be Cheerful and the digital series Crips Without Constraints.

Director Simon Godwin (Measure for Measure) returns to TFANA with a reimagining of his vibrant staging of Timon of Athens, which premiered at the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2018 - the first time the play had been staged with a female lead.
