Coach and InterparfumsSA Sign Agreement for Coach Fragrance

Coach, Inc., a leading New York design house of modern luxury accessories and lifestyle collections, and InterparfumsSA (Euronext: ITP), the creator of prestige perfumes and cosmetics, announced that they have entered into an 11-year exclusive worldwide fragrance license agreement. Under the agreement, Interparfums will create, produce and distribute new perfumes and fragrance-related products, including new men's and women's scents. Interparfums will distribute these fragrances globally to department and specialty stores and duty free shops, as well as in Coach retail stores beginning fall 2016.

The Costume Institute's spring 2015 exhibition, China: Through the Looking Glass, will be on view at The Metropolitan Museum of Art from May 7 through August 16, 2015 (preceded on May 4 by The Costume Institute Benefit). Presented in the Museum's Chinese Galleries and Anna Wintour Costume Center, the exhibition will explore how China has fueled the fashionable imagination for centuries, resulting in highly creative distortions of cultural realities and mythologies. In this collaboration between The Costume Institute and the Department of Asian Art, high fashion will be juxtaposed with Chinese costumes, paintings, porcelains, and other art, as well as films, to reveal enchanting reflections of Chinese imagery.

Fall/Winter 2015 marks the second season of a year-long support program launched in celebration of the Swarovski Collective's 15 th Anniversary. This season's New York based designers, Prabal Gurung, Rodarte, Creatures of the Wind, Wes Gordon, Misha Nonoo, Tim Coppens will also compete for the inaugural Swarovski Collective Prize for Innovation, with the chance to win 25,000 for their brand.

2 FEBRUARY: With the Friday Nights series selling out and less than one week until closure, The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier will be open until midnight on Saturday 7 February and 10pm on Sunday 8 February with a series of after-hours experiences and performances before the exhibition departs for Paris.
With crepès, charcuterie, champagne and beats by Chicks on Speed's DJ Alex Murray-Leslie (in a special solo set) Jean Paul Gaultier Until Midnight is an after-hours viewing experience from 6pm to midnight on Saturday 7 February.

Today, The Metropolitan Museum of Art held a press briefing at the Palace Museum in Beijing, China, about its spring 2015 Costume Institute exhibition, China: Through the Looking Glass. The exhibition, on view at the Met from May 7 to August 16, will explore how Chinese art and film have influenced Western fashion design for centuries. Thomas P. Campbell, Director and CEO of the Metropolitan Museum; Shan Jixiang, Director of the Palace Museum; Max Baucus, U.S. Ambassador to the People's Republic of China; Andrew Bolton, Curator in The Costume Institute; Maxwell K. Hearn, Douglas Dillon Chairman, Department of Asian Art; Anna Wintour, Artistic Director of Condé Nast and Editor-in-Chief of American Vogue; and renowned filmmaker Wong Kar Wai, Artistic Director of the exhibition, all attended the press briefing.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art announced today that The Costume Institute's spring 2015 exhibition will be Chinese Whispers: Tales of the East in Art, Film, and Fashion, on view from May 7 through August 16, 2015 (preceded on May 4 by The Costume Institute Benefit). Presented in the Museum's Chinese Galleries and Anna Wintour Costume Center, the exhibition will explore how China has fueled the creative imagination for centuries, resulting in layers of cultural translations, re-translations, and mistranslations. In this collaboration between The Costume Institute and the Department of Asian Art, high fashion will be juxtaposed with Chinese costumes, paintings, porcelains, and other art, as well as Chinese films to reveal ongoing dialogues between East and West, past and present.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) paid tribute to the winners and honorees of the 2014 CFDA Fashion Awards in collaboration with Swarovski at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center. Film director and screenwriter John Waters was the host for the evening. For the thirteenth year in a row, the evening was generously underwritten by Swarovski.
