Cinderella Tops 2014 Panto League Tables

Who's the fairest of them all? Cinderella, of course - and she's also the most popular of all when it comes to pantomimes. According to this year's Panto League table, published today by WhatsOnStage, the UK's leading theatre website, there are more productions being mounted up and down the country of Cinderella (22 in total) than any other pantomime title this Christmas.

The StAnza poetry festival will feature two poetry plays, KIND OF LARKIN starring David Hayman and A DRUNK WOMAN LOOKS AT A THISTLE starring Karen Dunbar. Both have been praised by critics after runs at the Edinburgh Fringe. The festival takes place at St Andrews from 14-18 March.

BACKBEAT Premieres at Citizens Theatre, 2/9

Full casting has been announced for the upcoming production of BACKBEAT at the Citizens Theatre in Glasgow. The production will be the onstage premiere of the musical adapation, based on the hit film about the Beatles. The cast will include Isabella Calthorpe and Andy Knott. Also Jamie Blackley, Oliver Bennett, Daniel Healy, Kate Hodgson, Patrick Lannigan, Alex Robertson and Charles Swift. The production will run from February 9th through March 6th.
