The Public Theater announced additional casting today for The Public Theater's Annual Gala, HAIR TO HAMILTON, 50 Years of Revolutionary Musicals, on Monday, June 5 at the Delacorte Theater.

Musical Theatre Factory, under the direction of Founding Artistic Director, Shakina Nayfack, has announced that it will feature the musical theater writer with a pop/punk edge Rebekah M. Allen in its all-female evening of original music featuring some of Broadway's most badass ladies.

The 90s are back! LezCab, a non-profit theatre company devoted to creating an accurate and meaningful representation of queer women in order to foster equality and community, will present LezCab Sings the 90s on August 29, 2016 at Joe's Pub.

This summer, NYMF will be on quest to save Paradise one Scrabble tile at a time. The new musical, THE LAST WORD will be presented at the Duke on 42nd Street, a NEW 42ND STREET project (229 W 42nd St) . THE LAST WORD is written by Brett Sullivan (Billy Elliot Live Film Director) and will be directed by Michael Bello (Doctor Zhivago), choreography by Nick Kenkel(Gotta Dance, Legally Blonde) and Musical Supervisor is Conrad Helfrich (Dirty Dancing). LezCab, a non-profit theatre company devoted to creating an accurate and meaningful representation of queer women in order to foster equality and community, will present LezCab Sings the 90s on May 28, 2016 at Le Poisson Rouge. 

Rachel Kunstadt (Artistic Director) is excited to announce the 1st annual LezCab Winter Benefit Concert on Monday, January 11th at 7:00pm at New York City's Joe's Pub in support of LezCab's work to create an accurate and meaningful representation of queer women in order to foster equality and community through cabarets, new works, re-imagined classics, and social and networking events.

I have been a fan of Music Theatre of Connecticut for a while now, so when I entered their Melissa & Doug theater on opening night of Little Shop of Horrors, I was looking forward to a wonderful evening with this classic piece of musical theatre.

Music Theatre of Connecticut MainStage, Fairfield County's award-winning professional theatre company, concludes its 2014/2015 season with 'Little Shop of Horrors' the hit rock musical comedy about a hapless florist shop worker, the girl of his dreams and one very voracious plant. With book and lyrics by Howard Ashman and music by Alan Menken. LezCab (www.lezcab.com) is a cabaret series featuring performances of musical theatre songs performed by, and written by and/or about queer women. This month's event, Happily Ever After, it will be held Sunday, October 27th at 7pm at The Duplex located at 61 Christopher Street in the West Village. Join the fun and celebrate a night of songs from recognizable, fairytale- oriented, princess-loving, happily-ever-after, divorce-free cartoons from our childhood!

LezCab is a cabaret series featuring performances of musical theatre songs performed by, and written by and/or about queer women. This month's LezCab will include queer spins on Golden Age classics. Horse Trade Theater Group in association with Cause Dyke Drama and Wreckio Ensemble will present LESBIAN LOVE OCTAGON, written and directed by Kimberlea Kressal (Bail Out: The Musical with Wreckio Ensemble) with music and additional lyrics by Will Larche (We Put The Spring In Springfield: The Music of The Simpsons), June 5-29 at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery). The production will feature Jenny Atwood (European tour of SHOUT!), Taneisha Duggan* (Get to Nomi at La Mama), Kristian Espiritu (Funny Girl in Los Angeles), Jax Jackson (Teddy Ferrara at The Goodman in Chicago), Kelly Lockwood-Larson (Angry Young Women in Low Rise Jeans with High Class Issues), Lindsay Naas* (Urinetown! at The Secret Theatre), Caitlin Lee Reid* (The Break Up Notebook with ReVision Theatre), and Tiwith an ensemble of Felicia Blum (Tess: A New Rock Opera at NYMF), Tracie Franklin*, Jaimie Kelton*, Bernadette Marshman, Allison O'Braza, and Lauren Sapienza*.
