The 2012, critically acclaimed play The Witness explored the exploitative nature of photojournalism and Pests was based on heroin addiction. In Bodies she turns her attention to the morality surrounding overseas surrogacy.

Bruce Norris' new translation of Bertolt Brecht's satirical masterpiece The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui is directed by Simon Evans with design by Peter McKintosh. Lenny Henry will make his Donmar debut as Arturo Ui and is joined by Michael Pennington, who recently played the title role in King Lear at the Royal & Derngate Northampton, as Dogsborough. Final performances of the Young Chekhov trilogy begin this autumn in the Olivier Theatre, and The Plough and the Stars is wrapping up at the Lyttelton.
