The North American tour of Disney's The Lion King will celebrate its 22nd anniversary on Saturday, April 27 in Minneapolis. The Lion King has returned to Minneapolis' historic Orpheum Theatre, where the Tony Award-winning Best Musical played its pre-Broadway run in 1997, and where the touring production is currently entertaining capacity houses through Sunday, April 28. 

The world premiere of Untitled Theater Company No. 61's Exagoge begins tonight at La MaMa's Ellen Stewart Theatre, located at 66 East 4th Street in New York City.

In a co-production with IAMA Theatre Company, Boston Court’s current production - Tira Palmquist’s The Body’s Midnight opened April 18, 2024. Boston Court’s artistic director Jessica Kubzansky directs this world premiere cast of Ryan W. Hiro Iida: Known as an electronic music designer making waves worldwide, he's a sound craftsman designing the sound of musicals. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, he has won two Grammy Awards. Some of his notable works include 'The Notebook THE MUSICAL,' 'THE GREAT GATSBY,' 'Kimberly Akimbo,' 'Tootsie' on Broadway, 'MJ THE MUSICAL,' 'Mean Girls' in the UK, 'The Man Who Laughs,' 'Mata Hari,' and 'XCALIBUR' in Korea, as well as 'DEATH NOTE THE MUSICAL,' 'Musical IKIRU,' and 'Your Lie in April' in Japan. He has also provided music to notable figures like Akiko Yano.
