CHOP SHOP: Bodies of Work, a contemporary dance festival, returns to Meydenbauer Center Theatre in February 2019 with an outstanding line-up of eight dance companies and artists from the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Now celebrating its 12th anniversary, the festival serves up a signature mix of performance, education, and dialogue, sharing the best of contemporary dance with audiences both experienced and new to the art form.

Christine Bonansea - a French-born, NYC-based choreographer known for her striking, virtuosic performances - brings OnlyHuman, a visually arresting, media-enhanced work to New York for its US premiere at Danspace Project. Developed in collaboration with an international group of stellar multidisciplinary artists, and following successful presentations at DOCK11 in Berlin and 2018 Tanzmesse in Dusseldorf, Germany, the evening-length version of this production will be presented for the first time to the American audiences November 15-17. Hudson Valley Dance Festival, the event that's brought stunning pas de deux, striking contemporary pieces, thrilling tap dances and acclaimed world premieres to one extraordinary program, returns on Saturday, October 6, 2018, to Catskill, NY. This day of diverse, enchanting dance is produced by and benefits Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

The Joyce Theater Foundation (Linda Shelton, Executive Director) is thrilled to present the return of its highly anticipated Ballet Festival, a two-week showcase of some of America's most exciting contemporary ballet companies and choreographers with Joyce commissions on each program. The Festival, designed to recognize dancers and choreographers who are creating work outside the traditional large company setting - and, in many cases, forming their own companies - will take place from June 26 - July 7 at The Joyce Theater. This year's festival, supported by an endowment established with major support from the Rudolf Nureyev Dance Foundation, features the Joyce debuts of Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami and Barak Ballet, as well as the anticipated returns of Joshua Beamish/MOVETHECOMPANY, BalletX, and Ashley Bouder Project. Karen Kain, Artistic Director of The National Ballet of Canada, today announced the repertoire for MAD HOT BALLET: DISCO. The company's annual million-dollar fundraising gala takes place on June 13, 2018 at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts.

Now in its 13th year, the Seattle International Dance Festival continues to bring innovative dance performances from around the world to Seattle. The inaugural James Ray Residency Project showcases brand new pieces by 5 Seattle-based dance artists and the SIDF partnership with Pacific Northwest Ballet allows Next Step choreographers and dancers to take part in the Spotlight on Contemporary Ballet. The first international dance performances and the wildly popular FREE, Art on the Fly outdoor event are both planned for June 9th.

Coastal City Ballet closes its 2017/18 season with the remount of Irene Schneider's enchanting ballet, Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, May 19 at Vancouver Playhouse and June 8 at Surrey Arts Centre.
