Pacific Opera Project Presents New Production of THE MAGIC FLUTE At El Portal Theatre

Pacific Opera Project (POP) opens its 2019 season with Mozart's The Magic Flute as never seen it before - set in classic video games from the early 1980s - in a return to the El Portal Theatre. Performances take place on March 2, 3, 8, 9, and 10, 2019, including two Sunday matinees. The 'super' production transports Papageno, Tamino, and the gang to the land of video games resembling Mario Bros. and Zelda with a new English libretto by Artistic Director Josh Shaw and E. Scott Levin. Edward Benyas conducts.

Performances will be Today, November 16 at 6:30pm, Friday, November 17 at 6:30pm, Saturday, November 18 at 10am, and Sunday, November 19 at 2pm.
