The Drama Book Shop proudly welcomes Mint Theater Company's Artistic Director Jonathan Bank for a discussion about the company's devotion to rediscovering lost plays and its current production, A Day By The Sea. The event, which is free to the public, will take place on Wednesday, August 17th at 5:00PM. Bank will be joined by critic and historian Peter Filichia.

In celebration of the third annual International Day of Happiness at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, the NGO Relations and Advocacy Section of DPI held an expert global panel yesterday, exploring scientifically proven data that demonstrates the inverse relationship that wealth (both national and personal) can have on happiness. Beatrice Dimaculangan, a junior from Jonathan Dayton High School, was named State Champion at the 2015 NJ Poetry Out Loud State Finals competition, part of the national poetry recitation program. The state finals took place Friday at the Richardson Auditorium in Princeton University's Alexander Hall and kicked-off the International Princeton Poetry Festival. Ms. Dimaculangan will move on to represent New Jersey at the national finals in Washington, DC in April to compete against 52 champions from every state and territory--all vying for the national title and the chance to win prizes including college scholarships.

For the second year in a row, South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) has been selected by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts to host the New Jersey Region 5 preliminary rounds of competition of the Poetry Out Loud program on Wednesday, February 11 at 10am.
