Sudbury theatre director Miriam Cusson will receive this year's John Hirsch Director's Award on Tuesday, September 12 during the Zones Theatrales festival at Ottawa's National Arts Centre. The same evening, the festival will feature a workshop presentation of Miriam's newest work, Parmi les eclats, which will premiere in 2018 at the Theatre du Nouvel-Ontario.

A bold and refreshingly current re-telling of two events - one historic, one mythic- Botticelli in the Fire & Sunday in Sodom feature Salvatore Antonio, Valerie Buhagiar, Nicola Correia-Damude, Stephen Jackman-Torkoff, Christopher Morris and Alon Nashman, and are directed respectively by Matjash Mrozewski and Estelle Shook, 2015 graduates of York University's MFA Program in Theatre - Stage Direction in Collaboration with Canadian Stage.

As part of the Celebrations of the 400th anniversary of francophone presence in Ontario, Theatre la Tangente is proud to introduce the second chapter of AMERICANDREAM.CA, a trilogy by Claude Guilmain. Part 2 will be presented at Theatre Glendon on Thursday September 3 and Friday September 4, while Parts 1 and 2 will be presented on Saturday September 5, followed by a panel discussion on the vitality of Franco-Ontarian dramaturgy.
