Opera’s most notorious ladies’ man has returned to The Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium. This time, Don Giovanni prowls the streets of 21st century Canada, flaunting red carpet-worthy attire and spamming women with flirty texts. 

Edmonton Opera has announced the opening of a groundbreaking production of Mozart's beloved opera, Don Giovanni, set to open on February 1st at 7:30 PM at Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium.

Edmonton Opera has announced that Bizet’s Carmen opens the Diamond Season. Well beloved as the most famous opera of all, Carmen is known for glorious music and a fearless leading lady. Montreal’s Rose Naggar-Tremblay (mezzo soprano) will infuse this role with her rich voice and interpretive prowess as she makes her company debut, as well as her North American role debut.

Sue Fitzsimmons joins the Edmonton Opera having recently held executive leadership roles at both  Medicine Hat College and the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). She is a long-time Edmontonian who believes in the power of creativity and the arts to build and sustain community.  

In the 22/23 season, Edmonton Opera will present a uniquely staged and choreographed performance of Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, a Home for the Holidays concert in December following the Opera’s first holiday concert last year, and more.
