Michelle Fairley, Mark Hadfield, Faye Marsay, Mike Noble, Dan Parr, Lemn Sissay, June Watson, Liz White and Shane Zaza have been cast in Jim Cartwright's game-changing play Road which opened at the Royal Court in 1986.

Director and part of the two-strong cast of Schoolhouse Productions' latest venture, Jim Cartwright's Two, Anna Friend is the final stages of rehearsals before she takes to the stage on Sun 28 May at the Arts Centre. In August, the play will be transferring to the famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Theatr Clwyd Announces 2017 Summer and Autumn Seasons

As she completes her first year as Artistic Director of Theatr Clwyd, Tamara Harvey today announces the 2017 Summer and Autumn seasons for the company. These include four world premieres; BoHo, a co-production with Hijinx Theatre which features both learning disabled and non-disabled actors, and, after a successful collaboration on the production of Love Lies and Taxidermy, Theatr Clwyd reunites with Paines Plough to open the 2017 Roundabout Season with co-productions of Black Mountain, Out Of Love and How To Be A Kid in collaboration with the Orange Tree Theatre. The Theatr Clwyd and Sheffield Theatres co-production of a new adaptation of Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya, by Welsh Playwright Peter Gill, will be directed by Harvey and will open at Clwyd from the 21 September ahead of transferring to Sheffield Theatres as part of Robert Hastie's inaugural season.

Following a highly successful debut at Theatre503 in 2015 and a critically acclaimed run at London's Trafalgar Studio's in 2016, Jon Brittain's Rotterdam will transfer to 59E59 Theaters, in New York, for a four-week run as Hartshorn - Hook Productions take their first show to North America this Spring.

Young Everyman Playhouse's (YEP) Young Directors' Festival sees the company continue their ground-breaking work that gives young people opportunities on stage and off stage. Winners of The Stage Youth Theatre of the Year Award in 2015 for their pioneering structure that gives young people training and skills in all theatre disciplines, YEP's Directors' Festival is a unique festival in regional theatre, showcasing the skills of the directors of the future. This year's festival runs from Monday 6 to 21 June in the Everyman's Ev1 space.

Broadway's Debbie Bisno Named Resident Producer of McCarter Theatre

McCarter Theatre Center's Resident Playwright/Artistic Director Emily Mann and Managing Director Timothy J. Shields have announced Debbie Bisno as the theatre's new Resident Producer. Ms. Bisno, a Broadway producer with two decades in the commercial and non-profit theatrical arenas, assumes her new leadership role immediately. Ms. Bisno will be based in Princeton as an important member of the artistic team at McCarter, and she will maintain and expand McCarter's relationships in NY, regionally, and abroad. Her existing company, Bisno Productions, will continue operations in Manhattan.
