DEAR EVAN HANSEN continues to sell-out shows all over North America as it makes its ways from city to city. It's been a show that brings on conversations with families, friends, and acquaintances as to how to connect to each other and be honest with each other. BWW recently caught up with Jessica Sherman who plays the part of Evan's mother, Heidi. She shared insights into the depth and breadth of the characters that has sparked its own little revelation of learning to connect to loved ones.

The Majestic Theatre in San Antonio Texas is buzzing as the last of the theatergoers find their seats. There are screens all around the stage that scroll social media comments. It's obvious that the audience is squinting to see if the words are a hint into what DEAR EVAN HANSEN is all about.

It was amazing to see DEAR EVAN HANSEN with an enthusiastic audience. Many of the teens sang along with the show or at least mouthed the words as the performance played out. People were visibly touched by the situations and reduced to tears at several points. And yet I felt oddly removed from the experience, and kept wondering why.

Casting Society of America (CSA) today announced the television and theatre nominees for the 35th Artios Awards, which honor the contribution of Casting Directors to film, television and theatre. The winners will be revealed on Thursday, January 30, 2020 in ceremonies in Los Angeles, New York City and London. Comedian, actor and writer Ron Funches will serve as host for the Los Angeles event.

Jessica Sherman plays 'Heidi Hansen', Claire Rankin plays 'Cynthia Murphy', and John Hemphill plays 'Larry Murphy.' Firemark Media announced today that Ron Lynch (“Bob's Burgers”), Mary Lynn Rajskub (“24”), Alyssa Limperis (“Comedy Bang Bang”), Jenny Zigrino (BAS SANTA TWO),Will Weldon (“This is Not Happening”) and Brooks Wheelan (“Saturday Night Live”) have been cast alongside Fred Armisen in the upcoming horrorcomedy TOO LATE, directed by D.W. Thomas. Based on a script by Tom Becker, the film will be produced by Ryan Lacen and Anthony Baldino, and will be executive produced by Lonnie Ramati. Jack De Sena (“Chris & Jack”), Billy Breed (“GREEN BOOK”), Paul Danke (“The Comedy Garage”) and Dwayne Perkins (“Funny You Should Ask”) round out the cast. Dear Evan Hansen will now call Toronto home through September 29, 2019, it was announced today. The Tony Award-winning musical, which opened at the historic Royal Alexandra Theatre on March 28, 2019 and was originally on sale through June 30, has been extended due to popular demand. A new block of 119,424 tickets, July 2 - September 29, are now on sale.
