Jerry Dixon to Direct SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD At Farmers Alley Theatre

Farmers Alley Theatre will kick off its season with Jason Robert Brown's emotive song cycle, SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD – running October 8-24, directed by Broadway star and Kalamazoo native, Jerry Dixon who starred on Broadway in the musicals Once on this Island, Five Guys Named Moe and If/Then to name a few.

Farmers Alley Theatre presents the Southwest Michigan premiere of the acclaimed Tony Award winning new play, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, based on the best-selling book of the same name. Running March 15-31, Farmers Alley Theatre is also pleased to announce that thanks in large part to several local organizations, we will be reinstating our Student Ticket Initiative for this production, which provides free student tickets to those who wish to attend the show (subject to availability). "This is a story about a uniquely gifted young adult, that we feel is very important for students to have the opportunity to see, without the barrier of a ticket price," states Executive Director Adam Weiner.

Gooooooo Chipmunks!  Farmers Alley Theatre's famous 'Cabaret Series' is back with the return of our favorite female foursome in the brand-new jukebox musical Marvelous Wonderettes: Dream On.  Performed in our original black box space in downtown Kalamazoo, this family-friendly revue will be playing December 7th-30th at 221 Farmers Alley.  Our cabaret setting includes dessert & coffee with your ticket, and our bar will be open for any adult beverages, beer, wine & hot chocolate as you take in some of the greatest songs from the 60's & 70's.  'Putting on our cabaret show every December is a highlight for us every season,' says Executive Director, Adam Weiner.
