A true work of genius appeared on The Coterie Theatre stage on Friday September 23 with the opening of THE MIRACLE WORKER. William Gibson wrote the play adapted from his 1957 Playhouse 90 teleplay of the same name. Helen Keller's autobiography, "The Story of My Life," was the basis for the play.

Mother Freaking Hood! is not a play anyone should see once, because that is not near enough times to catch all the humor that causes the audience to erupt with laughter throughout the two-act play. Mother Freaking Hood! opened on Saturday May 30 at the Goppert Theatre inside Avila College in Kansas City, Missouri to roars of laughter. The Moonshine Variety Company production is without a doubt the funniest musical comedy of the theater season in Kansas City.

The final Musical Monday of 2014 took to the stage of the Off Center Theatre on Monday November 24. Produced six times a year by Musical Theater Heritage Tim Scott hosts the cabaret style production. In response to sold out seasons since 2009, additional performances on Tuesday night are scheduled beginning in 2015.
