Coming to Los Angeles this June, Merely Players is a meta-exploration of the theatre scene that watches as a struggling (and mostly terrible) theatre troupe attempts to put on a musical that maybe really should never have been written in the first place.

After critically acclaimed productions in New York City and London, American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) will close its 2014-15 season with the West Coast premiere of renowned playwright Caryl Churchill's internationally praised work, Love and Information (June 3-August 9, 2015).

Ruby Slippers Theatre presents the touching and captivating double bill: Apres Moi and The List. These English translations of two French Canadian plays will take the audience on a very human journey through love, loss, compassion and memory and remind us that by letting other people in, if only briefly, our life's trajectory can be profoundly altered.

There's something wild on the loose, and a whole new kind of monster is coming to Hollywood. Official selection at the 2014 Hollywood Fringe Festival in Combined Artform "Pick of the Fringe," Giraffenstein will play two additional performances on Saturday, July 12 at 11:30pm and Saturday, July 19 at 11:55PM as part of The Encore! Producers' Extension Series.

Independent Opera Company will present the final production of their first season. Macbeth is a remarkable representation of Shakespeare's epic drama. It tells of Macbeth and his wife as they go on a killing spree in a desperate attempt to maintain the throne of Scotland. They are propelled by the prophecies of witches and as these omens eventualize, the couple lose their grip on the power they seek.

CoHo Productions will present Crooked, tonight, May 15 - June 8, 2013. Opening night is May 17.

Gideon Productions (NYIT Outstanding Premiere Production of a Play Award for Advance Man) will present the World Premiere of playwright Mac Rogers' (The Honeycomb Trilogy; Viral) modern horror story FRANKENSTEIN UPSTAIRS, June 14-30 at The Secret Theatre (44 02 23rd Street, Long Island City). The production will be directed by Jordana Williams (The Honeycomb Trilogy; Viral) and will feature Autumn Dornfeld* (The Graduate on Broadway; Beebo Brinker Chronicles at NYTW), Rob Maitner* (Mr. McQueen in the original cast of Urinetown!), Diana Oh (Rob Askins' P.S. Jones and the Frozen City; Mariah MacCarthy's The Foreplay Play), and Kristen Vaughan* (Amelia in The Honeycomb Trilogy; NYIT Award for Outstanding Actress in a Lead Role for Retro Productions Benefactors). The creative team will include Special Effects by Stephanie Cox-Williams, Costume Design by Amanda Jenks, Sound Design by Jeanne Travis, Lighting Design by Jennifer Linn Wilcox, and Set Design bySandy Yaklin. Write down everything and something is bound to be funny. Or at least that's standup comedian Tim's philosophy in International Falls by Thomas Ward. CoHo Productions, as part of the Fertile Ground Festival, will produce the World Premiere. A pay-what-you-will preview performance will be held on January 24th, with opening night on January 25th. The hilarious new show will run Thursday through Sunday through February 16th. Tickets start at $20 with discounts available for students, educators and seniors. Those with a valid International Falls, MN driver's license will receive free admission (pending availability).
