The show is wonderful to begin with; there is no doubt about that. Theatre Three's 36th annual production of the iconic Charles Dickens tale A Christmas Carol has certainly become a beautiful tradition on Long Island. Even with slight changes throughout the years, this ageless production is as spectacular as ever. THEATRE THREE presents The Twenty-Second Annual Festival of One-Act Plays, from April 13 through May 5, 2019, at The Ronald F. Peierls Theatre, on the Second Stage. Selected from over 400 submissions world-wide, these six cutting-edge premieres are guaranteed to entertain and engage.

Theatre Three has announced its 50th anniversary season: the international hit Jekyll and Hyde: The Musical; it's thirty-sixth production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol; Alfred Uhry's Pulitzer Prize-Winning Driving Miss Daisy; the family musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat; the heartfelt and heartbreaking Steel Magnolias; and the world's most popular musical: Grease.

The tale, set in the 1960s, takes place in the city of Venice. It centers on Guido Contini who is dreading his upcoming 40th birthday. We follow him as he is facing a midlife crisis that seems to be blocking artistic whims cornering him in a web of romantic complications; Both in real life and his mind. Arthur Kopit's book takes much insight from the viewer as they switch between reality and Guido's mind. Moreover, the music, by Maury Yeston, is rich and moving.

After severe flooding in the Port Jefferson area, community theatre staple Theatre Three suffered severe damages leaving its staff, performers and patrons devastated. However, efforts are already in the works to raise money to restore the theatre

Leave it to Theatre Three in Port Jefferson to turn a snoozer on Broadway into a hit musical comedy on Long Island. Their latest production is 'The Addams Family' and it is funny, fabulous and pure nostalgia! Gomez, Morticia, and all of your favorite creepy crawlies are scaring up Port Jeff and getting their spook on for Wednesday Addams' nuptials.

Port Jefferson's Theater Three production of the musicial murder mystery romp Curtains is brilliant; it is a clever mash up of Columbo meets Kiss Me, Kate. Curtains is a wonderful show that reveals how a show's ensemble is not just its cast, but also its creative team. It emphasizes the importance of each and every talent involved with putting on a Broadway show. From the stage manager to the conductor; from the music team to the director. Theater Three's production successfully emits this theme.

The hooting, hollering, and Hail Marying the other evening at Theatre Three in Port Jefferson was for the fabulous five sisters of Hoboken in a rousing production of Dan Goggin's 'Nunsense!' This holy ensemble features some of the most talented actresses on Long Island who sing, dance and pray their way right into our heart and funnybone.
