Last week the National YoungArts Foundation took over Manhattan offering approximately 120 aspiring artists (actors, dancers, designers, cinematagraphers, musicians, photographers, singers, visual artists and writers, all ages 15 - 18) the life changing opportunity to participate in more than 50 master classes, as well as studio visits, workshops and tours. The Public Work's original musical adaptaion of The Winter's Tale, conceived and directed by Lear deBessonet, with music and lyrics by Todd Almond, and choreography by Chase Brock, runs for three nights only starting tonight through Sunday, September 7 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Kidz Theater will present it's fall Mainstage Musical, Cabaret, music by John Kander & Fred Ebb, book by Joe Masteroff, directed by Kristen Caesar. Cabaret stars a cast of New York City's most talented professional young performers, including Jenny Mollet of Broadway's The Color Purple. The production runs today, November 9th-18th.
