The internationally acclaimed Pilobolus Dance Theater returns to NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, November 16 - December 4th, 2016, with two exhilarating programs mixing dance, physical theater, short film, and Pilobolus's surrealistic and magical physical language. The two unique programs will feature nine works, including the New York premieres of Thresh/Hold and Today Morning, 11:45, as well as revivals of Pilobolus classics Day 2 and Gnomen, and collaborations with Penn and Teller ([esc]) and alt-band OK Go (All is Not Lost).

BalletBoyz Return to Wyvern Theatre 28/10

Due to popular demand, all-male dance company BalletBoyz are embarking on a second leg of their UK tour of Life, for which the award-winning company will be joined by a brand new member, and they will be returning to the Wyvern Theatre on Fri 28 October. The production, which received its world premiere at London's Sadler's Wells in April of this year to widespread critical acclaim, initially toured over April and May. The show features new commissions by Javier de Frutos and Pontus Lidberg. For this leg of the tour, Josh Wild will be making his BalletBoyz debut with Life, having been recently selected to join the all-male company. Wild joins BalletBoyz from Scottish Dance Theatre. The piece is co-produced by Sadler's Wells in association with artsdepot.

FRAME London Dance Film Festival Sets 2016 Programme

The full programme has today been announced for the inaugural FRAME London Dance Film Festival. The vast programme of films and events is to take place from 9 to 12 June 2016 in Kingston-upon-Thames, London. Presented by the UK's pioneering dance company BalletBoyz in association with dancescreen, the festival is set to offer a unique opportunity to enjoy the best creative talent in dance and film to the general public, as well engaging broadcasters, video artists and choreographers. Over the three days, there are over 122 films screening with 11 World Premieres, 8 International, 4 European and 28 UK Premieres amongst the new work. These will be presented alongside classic films for all ages led by a celebration of Gene Kelly, dance performances and outdoor and family activities at various venues across the town.

Charlotte Ballet Welcomes New Artistic Director

?Charlotte Ballet board of trustees selected Hope Muir, currently the assistant artistic director of Scottish Ballet, as Charlotte Ballet's new artistic director. Muir's appointment is effective July 2017. Over the next year she will work closely with the board of trustees and staff in preparation for the 2017/2018 Season, her first as artistic director.
