This October, SYFY is the destination for non-stop horror as the network celebrates its 10th annual 31 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN programming event. Bring home Sharp Objects today as the eight-episode limited series, based on Gillian Flynn's (Gone Girl) bestselling novel of the same name, is now available for Digital Download, and comes to Blu-ray and DVD on November 27th. Starring five-time Oscar®-nominee Amy Adams (Arrival), the “haunting and riveting” (The Hollywood Reporter) series is directed by Jean-Marc Vallée (HBO's “Big Little Lies”) and created by Marti Noxon (“Dietland”). The ReFrame Stamp program launched on June 8, 2018 with the announcement of 12 films that earned the stamp out of 100 films surveyed. We then expanded the program by inviting studio and independent films that have secured U.S. domestic theatrical or streaming distribution to submit their films for stamp consideration.

SHOWTIME has announced that Emmy nominee Kari Skogland (The Handmaid's Tale) will direct the first two episodes of the network's eight-episode limited series about Fox News founder Roger Ailes, based upon the extensive reporting of Gabriel Sherman in his bestselling book, The Loudest Voice in the Room, and starring Academy Award® and Golden Globe® winner Russell Crowe (Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind) in the title role. Skogland returns to SHOWTIME, where she has previously directed shows including PENNY DREADFUL, THE BORGIAS, THE L WORD® and QUEER AS FOLK. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine, President of Programming, Showtime Networks.

Blasting off the festival in its 14th year will be the U.S. Premiere of David Gordon Green's razor-sharp new contribution to the HALLOWEEN canon with legendary actor Jamie Lee Curtis—along with HALLOWEEN producers Malek Akkad, Jason Blum and Bill Block in attendance! USA Network is coming to San Diego Comic-Con this year with an immersive activation and panel for the eagerly awaited television series THE PURGE. Based on the worldwide phenomenon film franchise, the series will debut on USA on Tuesday, September 4 at 10/9c. “The First Purge” is now in theaters.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Jeremy Renner has been tapped to star alongside Jamie Foxx in Spawn, Blumhouse Productions' upcoming adaptation of the Todd McFarlane comic.

SHOWTIME has announced the order for an eight-episode limited series about Fox News founder Roger Ailes, starring Academy Award® and Golden Globe winner Russell Crowe (Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind)in the title role and based upon the extensive reporting of Gabriel Sherman in New York magazine and his bestselling book, The Loudest Voice in the Room. Sherman co-wrote the initial episode with Oscar® winner Tom McCarthy (Spotlight, Win Win), who will executive produce with Emmy winner Jason Blum. The project is a co-production from SHOWTIME and Blumhouse Television (Sharp Objects, The Normal Heart). The announcement was made today by David Nevins, President and CEO, Showtime Networks Inc.

Werner Herzog To Direct Fordlandia TV Series for Hyde Park

To celebrate the new limited drama series SHARP OBJECTS joining the network's summer lineup, HBO is partnering with film podcast FILMSPOTTING to host advance screenings in SEATTLE and CHICAGO. The Seattle event onJune 19th will feature an advance screening of the series premiere and Q&A with series co-star Chris Messina. On Friday the 13th of July, Gillian Flynn, author, writer and executive producer will join Chicagoans for a sneak peek of episode two followed by a panel discussion moderated by Filmspotting.
