The Vail Dance Festival today officially announced plans to return in-person for its 32nd season July 30 – Aug. 9, 2021.

Kevin McKenzie today announced his retirement as Artistic Director of American Ballet Theatre at the end of 2022, following three decades of leadership. He will oversee ABT’s creation of new works and performances throughout 2021 and 2022, ensuring ABT’s vitality and artistic integrity, while working with the Board of Governing Trustees to provide a seamless transition to the Company’s next Artistic Director.

New York Theatre Ballet will present the second installment of LIFT Lab Live, an in-house live performance series created in the fall, that provides emerging and established choreographers with a safe space to create and offers audiences a safe space to experience live music and live performances of new choreography.

Kaatsbaan Cultural Park has curated a dynamic program of leading artists from the worlds of dance, music, poetry, sculpture, and the culinary arts for its inaugural Spring Festival.  James Whiteside, ballet's boldest American principal dancer, presents Fancy Nut Mix, an online holiday benefit of Nutcracker excerpts featuring a cast of leading American dance stars, December 20, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. Produced by Emmy-nominated producer and dancer Garen Scribner in partnership with Harlequin Floors, the evening will raise funds to provide dancers in need a platform to share their work, their why, and win a portable dance mat to Take the Floor and dance into the new year. 

This holiday season, American Ballet Theatre will premiere a special presentation of The Nutcracker with a filmed performance of the Grand Pas de Deux for Clara and The Prince on Friday, December 4 at 6pm ET on American Ballet Theatre’s YouTube Channel, IGTV, and on the Segerstrom Center for the Arts website, Facebook, and Instagram.

The Gruffalo's Child will be arriving at Alexandra Palace Theatre for a limited Christmas season this weekend 5 December 2020 – 3 January 2021. 

A behind-the-scenes trailer is released for Hampstead Theatre’s 60th anniversary production of The Dumb Waiter ahead of the theatre reopening on 3 December 2020.  The production will now run until 16 January 2021.

Hampstead Theatre has announced the cast for Harold Pinter's iconic play The Dumb Waiter.  Due to popular demand the production has been extended and will now run from 18 November 2020 until 2 January 2021. 

Internationally acclaimed theatre company Tall Stories brings its celebrated production of The Gruffalo's Child to the beautiful Alexandra Palace Theatre for a limited Christmas season from 28 November 2020 – 3 January 2021.

Coventry's Belgrade Theatre will host its second virtual theatre tour this October when Tall Stories (The Gruffalo, Room on the Broom) bring the tale of The Snail and the Whale to life on stage. Inspired by the much-loved book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, their acclaimed adaptation will be streamed live to Coventry families on 28 Oct.

Hampstead Theatre will be reopening this November with Nobel Prize-winning writer Harold Pinter's iconic early play The Dumb Waiter from 18 November to 19 December 2020. 

Celebrating the creativity of ABT dancers, American Ballet Theatre presents Moving Stories: An ABT Film Festival. Presented over two nights, Wednesday, September 30 and Thursday, October 1 at 7:00pm ET, Moving Stories features eight short films created by ABT artists.
