Earlier this week, The Nederlander Organization unveiled the new Lena Horne Theatre in honor of the iconic entertainer and civil rights activist. This is the first Broadway theatre in history to be named for a Black woman. BroadwayWorld was there and you can check out photos from the ceremony here!

On Tuesday, April 5th, Theatre Communications Group (TCG) presented 'An Evening with Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis,' author of the hit Broadway play The Motherf***er with the Hat, which featured a reading of excerpts from several of his plays, a discussion, and signing of his newly published play, Between Riverside and Crazy, for which he received the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, at the Drama Book Shop in New York, now celebrating its 99th year. Comedy legend Larry David returned once again to Saturday Night Live last night as Bernie Sanders. This time, David's Sanders was eager to apologize on behalf of his supporters, saying, 'I want to thank everyone for voting for me and apologize to everyone else for making your Facebook feeds so, so annoying. Tony Award-winning actor Jason Alexander recently assumed the role of 'Norman Drexel' in Larry David's hit comedy Fish In the Dark, directed by Anna D. Shapiro, at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street). Alexander steps into the role created by David in the comedy about a death in the family. Tony Award-winning actor Jason Alexander returns to Broadway tonight, June 9 when he assumes the role of Norman Drexel in Larry David's hit comedy FISH IN THE DARK, directed by Anna D. Shapiro, at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street). Mr. Alexander steps into the role created by Mr. David in the comedy about a death in the family. Larry David will play his final performance in FISH IN THE DARK on Sunday, June 7. The limited engagement run of the production, originally scheduled through June 7, is extended for six weeks through Sunday, July 19.
