The Broadway Podcast Network has announced Broadway’s first digital Soap Opera, AS THE CURTAIN RISES. Written by Dori Berinstein and Mark Peikert, AS THE CURTAIN RISES takes you on a never before behind the scenes look at the drama behind the most dramatic business in the world.

THE BLACK BOX, the regiona??s premiere concert, theater, and event venue, will present a cappella viral sensation T.3 live in concert on Saturday, October 3 at 6:30 and 8:15 pm socially distanced on their outdoor stage. T.3 went viral on TikTok last winter for their cover of a?oeInto the Unknowna?? from Frozen 2.

In an effort to stay committed to their mission as the nationa??s theatres remain closed, THE ROAD THEATRE COMPANY turns to online streaming for their 11th Annual Summer Playwrights Festival. Taylor Gilbert, Founder/Artistic Director together with Sam Anderson, Artistic Director, continue to spotlight New Work for the Stage. 

Penn State Centre Stage Virtual will present The Living Room Project, the second of a series of online episodes to benefit for the School of Theatre Future Fund, at 8 p.m. EDT, on Thursday, August 13.

Sis will present Our Offering, written by Antonio Lasanta and Gage Tarlton, presented over Zoom.

They have announced in this, their upcoming 29th season, the eleventh annuala??   SUMMER PLAYWRIGHTS FESTIVAL.

As BroadwayWorld previously announced, Frozen will not be re-opening when Broadway returns from its shutdown. In honor of the show, the ushers at the St. James Theatre created a video, set to Let It Go.

The Broadway production of Frozen will not reopen as a result of the industry-wide shutdown and resulting economic fallout. The production's final performance was Wednesday evening March 11, having played 825 performances and 26 previews.

McKenzie Kurtz makes her Broadway debut starring as Anna, Ciara Renée (Pippin, Big Fish, The Hunchback of Notre Dame) stars as Elsa, and Ryan McCartan (Wicked; Heathers: The Musical; Disney Channel's 'Liv & Maddie') joins the cast as Hans.

As it approaches its second anniversary on Broadway, Frozen will welcome a trio of new stars joining the company tonight, Tuesday, February 18, 2020. McKenzie Kurtz makes her Broadway debut starring as Anna, Ciara Renée (Pippin, Big Fish, The Hunchback of Notre Dame) stars as Elsa, and Ryan McCartan (Wicked; Heathers: The Musical; Disney Channel's “Liv & Maddie”) joins the cast as Hans, replacing Patti Murin, Caissie Levy, and Joe Carroll, respectively.

Original stars of Frozen, Caissie Levy and Patti Murin, play their final performance as Elsa and Anna tonight, February 16.

Arendelle will soon welcome new royalty! BroadwayWorld has just learned that Ciara Renée, McKenzie Kurtz and Ryan McCartan will soon join the cast of Broadway's Frozen as Elsa, Anna, and Hans. All three will play their first performance on February 18. They take over the roles from original company members Caissie Levy and Patti Murin and Joe Carroll.
