Last night, September 13, the cast of AMERICAN IDIOT joined Green Day onstage for the halftime show of the NY Jets game at the New Meadowlands Stadium, performing a rendition of Green Day's Last Of The American Girls. Spring Awakening Producers Tom Hulce and Ira Pittleman have announced that a 2nd national tour produced by NETworks Presentations will launch in October with spots scheduled across the country. This second tour will feature the same design, direction and staging as the first tour, which closed this spring, but will be presented by an entirely new cast. This second tour will launch at Western Hall in Macomb, IL on October 15, 2010.

According to their Twitter cast members of AMERICAN IDIOT will appear at Housing Works July 7 between 6 and 8pm. Attendees are encouraged to donate clothes to the organization and will have the opportunity to win tickets to the show as well as meet the cast.

Last night, May 23, the Drama Desk Association hosted the 55th Annual Drama Desk Awards ceremony at the F.H. LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center. Former Drama Desk Award winner Patti LuPone hosted the ceremony, which honored the best of Broadway and off in the 2009-2010 season.
