The record-breaking Toronto production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will celebrate its 1-year anniversary with a week filled with activities from May 30 – June 4, 2023 at the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre. 

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will end its record-breaking run at the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre in Toronto on July 2, 2023.  At a run of 13 months and more than 425 performances, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will set a record for the longest-running professional play in Canadian history. 

The Tony Award-winning Broadway production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is set to mark its 5th anniversary later this month at the Lyric Theatre in Times Square.

The producers of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - Sonia Friedman Productions, Colin Callender and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions - have announced a further extension to booking for the original two-part multi award-winning production at London’s Palace Theatre. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will come to the end of its record-breaking run at the Princess Theatre in Melbourne on 9 July 2023, after four years, 1 million tickets sold and more than 1,300 performances making it the longest running play in Australian history.

The Tony Award-winning Broadway production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will once again celebrate the Hogwarts houses with four special performances dedicated to each house. Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw houses are the four living and learning communities for Hogwarts students, named after the wizarding school's four founders. 

The spellbinding Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has reached the 1,000 performance milestone in Melbourne.

2022 has seen Blondshell (Sabrina Teitelbaum) capture the ears and attention of music critics and fans alike with the release of four singles and her incredibly captivating shows in Los Angeles, London and across the U.S. as the support for Porridge Radio. She will be closing out the year with a sold-out headline show.

The Canadian Premiere production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has released additional tickets from $69 for sale just in time for the gift-giving season.  Ten more weeks of performances will be added, March 21 – June 4, 2023.  The new block of tickets goes on sale on Saturday December 10, 2022 at 9:45 AM ET in celebration of Platform 9 ¾ at King's Cross train station in London.  

Don't Shoot the Albatross is sort of a monologue, kind of a pop song, and a bit like a poem. It's about urban isolation, queer exceptionalism and social anxiety, but mostly it's about Alby and why they can't sleep at night. The piece flickers between poetic, musical and acerbic.  

Blondshell has herself on the map this year with the release of three critically acclaimed singles: her debut “Olympus,” “Kiss City,” and this summer’s “Sepsis,” which Rolling Stone listed as their #1 Pick of the Month for their “Recommends” column as they called it a “phenomenally catchy alt-rock blast from her hotly buzzed upcoming debut LP.”

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the CAA Ed Mirvish theatre will surpass 250,000 theatre goers. To celebrate this milestone, Toronto audiences will be treated to surprise-and-delight giveaways at all eight performances throughout the week of October 24th, which is when they anticipate the production will welcome its quarter-million patron.  

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has released family portraits of the Potters, the Granger-Weasleys and the Malfoys in advance of the new Company’s first performance on 13 October 2022.  

A tale of the world you create in your head versus reality, this new single is a means of trying to convince yourself everything feels “peachy” even when feeling cast aside. Produced by close collaborator, ModMaxx (Drake, Roy Woods, Tinashe) this is the second taste of Blair’s upcoming debut project.

Sarah Afful who plays 'Hermione Granger' in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in Toronto will be on maternity leave beginning September 30, 2022 as she prepares to welcome her second child. Temporarily replacing Sarah during her leave is Antoinette Robinson from the Broadway company who will make her Canadian stage debut.

Additional casting has been announced for the new Broadway company of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child who begin performances at New York's Lyric Theatre on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. Beginning October 3rd, tickets will be on sale through September 3, 2023. The cast includes 16 actors making their Broadway debut.

& Juliet earned 8 nominations in the Musical Theatre Division including Outstanding Production, Outstanding Performance in a Featured Role to Melanie La Barrie, Outstanding Performance in a Leading Role to each of Betsy Wolfe and Lorna Courtney, and more.

At a press conference held at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in the Richard Bradshaw Amphitheatre, the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) announced 235 nominations for the 42nd Annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards, which recognize excellence in professional theatre, dance and opera in Toronto.
