The Golden Snitch Ticket Lottery is your weekly chance to purchase tickets to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre for only $40. A limited number of Golden Snitch tickets are available for each performance. 

The all-Canadian cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is now ensconced in the newly re-modelled CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre where they are in the midst of technical rehearsals in preparation for the show’s first performance on Tuesday May 31st. To mark that day, a special public celebration will be held at Yonge-Dundas Square from 12 noon – 2 pm.

The excitement in the rehearsal hall on the fifth floor of the Elgin theatre was palpable  this morning as the first day of rehearsals began for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Check out exclusive photos of the cast as they meet the press.

The Segal Centre for Performing Arts Academy has announced Hoppin' and Poppin' with Hailey & Patrick, a new online initiative to help keep kids active this winter. Based on the original novel Madame Sousatzka written by Bernice Rubens, SOUSATZKA is set in London, England in 1982 and tells the story of a musical prodigy torn between two powerful women from vastly different worlds: his mother, a political refugee from South Africa and his piano teacher, a brilliant eccentric with a shattered past. These two proud, iconoclastic women must ultimately cross cultural and racial divides to find common ground, or else jeopardize the young musician's destiny.

Due to popular demand, the Segal Centre is thrilled to announce that three performances have been added to the world premiere production of Prom Queen: The Musical. Produced by Mary Young Leckie and the Segal Centre, Prom Queen: The Musical tells the inspiring, true story of Marc Hall, the Ontario teenager who took his Catholic School Board to court when they refused to let him attend prom with his boyfriend. This new, award-winning Canadian musical directed by Marcia Kash, written by Kent Staines, with lyrics by Akiva Romer-Segal and music by Colleen Dauncey will now run on the Segal Stage until November 23, 2016.

Following the success of their past original productions, the Segal Centre for Performing Arts is proud to present the World Premiere of a new Canadian musical inspired by the incredible, true story of Marc Hall, the Ontario teenager who took his Catholic School Board to court when they refused to let him attend prom with his boyfriend. A refreshingly fun and heartfelt story about a community coming together and being true to yourself, Prom Queen: The Musical will premiere at the Segal from October 27 to November 20, 2016.
