Strap in, folks…things are about to get wild over at Heritage Theatre Festival with the classic Marx Brothers musical The Cocoanuts - coming to the Culbreth Theatre from July 20-29.

The Booth Theatre was the place to be last night as the company of The Boys in the Band, directed by Joe Mantello and produced by Ryan Murphy and David Stone, celebrated the play's 50th anniversary ahead of its official opening tonight, May 31. We're taking you inside the festivities below!

Directed by Joe Mantello and produced by Ryan Murphy and David Stone, The Boys in the Band will play a strictly limited 15-week Broadway engagement at the Booth Theatre (222 West 45th Street). Previews began Monday, April 30, 2018 and officially opens on Thursday, May 31, 2018. Check out a first look at the cast in action below!

As BroadwayWorld reported over the weekend, The Boys in the Band canceled its performance on Saturday evening because of a cast member injury. We can confirm that the cast member in question is Jim Parsons, who was also out of the show Monday evening.

Kathie Lee, Hoda and John Cena welcome actors Zacahry Quinto, Matt Bomer and Andrew Rannells, who in addition to being friends are co-stars in the 50th anniversary edition of "The Boys in the Band," the groundbreaking play about a group of gay men who gather for a friend's birthday party. "To get to do it with these guys is just a dream," Bomer says.

Kolzak Award with a surprise appearance by Parsons' 'Boys In The Band' cast mates Matt Bomer, Zachary Quinto, Andrew Rannells, Robin De Jesus, Brian Hutchinson, Charlie Carver, Michael Benjamin Washington, and Tuc Watkins. Now onstage at Brentwood's Towne Centre Theatre, Ludwig's Shakespeare in Hollywood (not to be confused with the musical Shakespeare in Love, which is based on an Oscar-winning film) once again takes audiences to 1934 to tell the story of the mirthful hijinks surrounding Austrian stage director Max Reinhardt's efforts to film an adaptation of his Hollywood Bowl production of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Reinhardt's film treatment of the work is, perhaps, more critically acclaimed now than when it was first released back during the heady days of Hollywood's golden era and the director has been lauded with praise for his one and only film that starred several silver screen legends in roles that went creatively against type, presenting the actors with tremendous challenges.

The McCallum Theatre announced today its new lineup as it begins its fourth decade of presenting world-class artists and entertainers for Coachella Valley audiences.  The new season includes McCallum debuts, iconic superstars, family-friendly entertainment, holiday sensations, with some mariachi, Bollywood, ballet, comedy and entertaining geography lessons all part of a very full and exciting season that also presents an outstanding roster of  Broadway favorites.

Award-winning actor/director Frank Ferrante re-creates his acclaimed New York and London stage portrayal celebrating America's greatest comedian - Groucho Marx.  You will feel as though Groucho is back, as Ferrante sings, dances and performs classic routines on the North Coast Rep stage, April 23 & 24 at 7:30pm.
