The Book of Mormon opened last night at the Prince of Wales Theatre to mixed reviews with ticket sales of £9 million.

In a fun rendition of their opening song, the US touring cast of The Book of Mormon welcomed the London company with open arms. The cast said 'Hello!' to their newly extended family; 'From our family to yours -- have a Happy Opening! Wishing you a long a successful run! Break a leg!' said the blurb below the video.

Christmas with The Rat Pack - Live at The Sands is an entertaining, nostalgic show that will put anyone in the holiday spirit. Actors bring to life Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. with a big band backing them and sing the songs that they are known for as well as holiday favorites, which make the audience feel like they are back in Sands Hotel in Las Vegas seeing The Rat Pack perform in the 1960s.

Last night, Jim Caruso's Cast Party was once again packed with extraordinary talent from all segments of the entertainment scene! Ukulele sensation Jake Shimabukuro dazzled the audience after his in-store appearance in The Apple Store, Birdland regular Gabrielle Stravelli and legendary jazzer Lodi Carr both offered swinging tunes, Giles Terera (from the West End's Avenue Q and The Rat Pack: Live At The Sands) sang from the heart, and theater composer Micah Young debuted a new song performed by singers Matt Leisy and Whitney Basher, both currently in The Fantastiks off-Broadway.

The original Olivier Award-nominated show, The Rat Pack Live from Las Vegas, is back in the West End for two weeks only, at the Wyndham's Theatre from Monday January 9 - Saturday January 21.

A good cover band faces the challenge of living up to its audience's expectations every time they play a number that somebody else wrote and performed. In each case there's a focus on a particular sound, but the Rat Pack may be the hardest to actually replicate. It was a frozen moment in time when Sammy, Frank and Dean came together to strut their stuff, usually accompanied by the comic routines of Joey Bishop. The current show playing the Fox Theatre imagines the Rat Pack (sans Bishop) performing a Christmas show, and it's complete with all the banter and manic antics one would expect.
