Shakespeare's MEASURE FOR MEASURE gets a solid production at the Stratford Festival. Its message of mercy, justice and their relationship to pride and humility is clearly etched. Those who like the Shakespearean style of writing and plot development should be pleased with this staging.

MARY STUART, directed by Stratford Festival Artistic Director, Antoni Cimolino; explores the complex relationship between Queen Elizabeth I of England and her cousin Mary Stuart, the former queen of Scotland-and, and in the eyes of some, a more rightful heir to the English throne. The play was originally written by Friedrich Schiller. This production is based on the adaptation written by Peter Oswald. This production is gripping from start to finish. LUCY PEACOCK and SEANA MCKENNA shine as the feuding cousins. Audiences will not want to miss this fabulous production.

The Stratford Festival gratefully acknowledges the support of the provincial government through Celebrate Ontario, which has just announced funding of more than $1 million to support the 2013 season's productions of The Merchant of Venice, Fiddler on the Roof and Tommy.

Alison Fraser will lead the reading of Wendy Beckett's Off-Broadway - bound production of LOVE THERAPY. This new play, directed by Evan Bergman is the fourth in a series of Ms. Beckett's plays that will be brought across the pacific from Australia by Pascal Productions. The reading takes place on Sunday, February 3rd at 3PM at TACT Studios (900 Broadway at 20th Street - Suite 905) and is open to the public by reservation only. The Stratford Festival's box office opens to the public this Saturday, January 5, at 9 a.m., with an online advance sale beginning at noon on Friday. Facebook fans, who want to use the Festival's new social ticketing app will be able to purchase tickets as of 9 a.m. today. Tickets are being offered at up to 25% off until January 31, with an opportunity to exchange dates with no added expense.

The new Stratford Festival Forum will host an exciting array of high-profile speakers and entertainers during the 2013 season. Thanks to popular demand Lucy Peacock's Late Night with Lucy cabaret series is moving from her cozy "living room" at the Annex performance space to a bigger house at the Studio Theatre for its last two dates in August.

A celebration of the life of John Neville will be held in Stratford today, July 15. Mr. Neville, who was Artistic Director of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival from 1986 to 1989, died on November 19. He was 86.

Lucy Peacock's cabaret series Late Night with Lucy has been so popular with patrons that it is officially sold out. The first performance of the eight-night summer series begins at the Festival's new Studio Theatre Annex space tonight at 11:30 p.m.
