Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), the professional North Fulton theatre company, will finish its 26th season with the over-the-top, 1920s gangster romp that isBullets Over Broadway The Musical by Woody Allen. Based on the film Bullets Over Broadway by Woody Allen and Douglas McGrath, the production will be directed by GET Associate Artistic Director James A. Donadio, with musical direction by S. Renee Clark and choreography by Lauren Brooke Tatum. It runs April 11th through April 28th, 2019 at the company's home in the Roswell Cultural Arts Center and is graciously sponsored by The Malon D. Mimms Company.

The dynamic introductory host for this 'Love Fest' was Loni Ackerman. 'Song and dance concert to celebrate our 25th Anniversary season (2018 - 2019) and Broadway Cares/Equity fights Aids' (Dancers Over 40 and Friends, 2018). It featured 33 dancers as well as special guests and speakers. Among those memorialized and given special tributes, George Marcy a DO40 board member was eulogized movingly by Carol Lawrence. Ms. Lawrence gave a heartfelt tribute to her mentor, George Marcy. She spoke at length of Marcy's kindnesses and invaluable help within her career. The 'star' quality that Ms. Lawrence possesses shone through as she took the stage and told the audience how very important Mr. Marcy had been in her life. He would be truly missed by her and those who knew him well.

BWW Review: D. Scott Eads Brings LEGACY IN THE KEY OF BING to Sterling's

Legacy in the Key of Bing can only mean the affable, buoyant Bing Crosby who swooned millions of people on the radio with only his voice. D. Scott Eads has been a fan of Crosby since his childhood, growing up in West Virginia, and with his clean good looks and smooth vocal instrument is the ideal choice to replicate the icon's music. On Sunday September 30, Eads brought his lovely show to Sterling's Upstairs at the Federal with a sold out house well in advance of the performance. Backed  by a four piece band with expert musical director Rich Eames at the piano, and with special guest stars Laura Dickinson and Will Collyer, the show took off from the top and hit the ground running.

My Fair Lady of course began it's Broadway run of 2,717 performances in 1956 at the Mark Hellinger Theatre on 51st Street.
