The Hollywood Museum played host to a spectacular photo exhibit, for Mother's Day to pay homage to the matriarchs of the MOTION PICTURE MOTHERS organization and the most celebrated working moms in entertainment with loving and amusing images with their families. On the evening of April 6th, in advance of “NATIONAL PET DAY,” (April 11th), Founder/President of the Hollywood Museum, Donelle Dadigan, hosted a tribute exhibit to Acting Animals. See photos from the event.

Entertainmentx, which gets to the heart, soul and drive of top performers in the entertainment industry, turns 5 years old on February 5th.

Donelle Dadigan (Founder/President of the Hollywood Museum in the Historic Max Factor Bldg) brought the cast of TV’s most celebrated family, THE WALTONS, together at the Hollywood Museum for an afternoon of fun and photos with fans. Following a cast Q&A with emcee, Hollywood film and TV critic, Leonard Maltin, fans experienced The Waltons Exhibit, with full support and participation by Warner Brothers Archivists.

Just as families are preparing to gather in celebration of Thanksgiving … for many, the first time since the pandemic began … Donelle Dadigan (Founder/President of the Hollywood Museum in the Historic Max Factor Bldg) has announced that TV's most celebrated family, THE WALTONS, is gathering at the Hollywood Museum for an afternoon of fun and photos with fans.

Writer and director, Paul Kyriazi has released the print edition of his popular self-help ebook and course, How to Live the James Bond Lifestyle. This is the original course taught by the author at The Learning Annex & SpyFest.

Katharine 'Kat' Kramer, a founder of 'Kat Kramer's Films That Change The World,' international cinema series to showcase motion pictures and documentaries that raise awareness of important social issues, will launch the LA Premiere of 'The New Abolitionists' - a film by Christina Zorich, on Friday October 21st at the Laemmle Monica Film Center in Santa Monica.

West Side Story opens on July 8th at Theatro Sao Pedro. A masterpiece by Bernstein & Sondheim, direction by Charles Moeller and Brazilian version by Claudio Botelho, the musical direction is by Claudio Cruz, who leads the Orquestra do Theatro Sao Pedro. The production also has a cast headed by Giulia Nadruz (Maria) and Beto Sargentelli (Tony)

La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts  announced that additional talent has signed on to its upcoming special event DANCE TO THE MOVIES, featuring just-added special guest appearances by Hollywood icon Barbara Eden (”I Dream Of Jeannie”), Academy Award winners George Chakiris (West Side Story) & Margaret O’Brien (Meet Me in St. Louis), and recording artist Debbie Wileman (who will perform a stunning tribute to Judy Garland).  

The Hollywood Museum has announced its 2022 salute to the LGBTQ+ community's contributions to the entertainment industry, it will once again present its ninth (due to the pandemic) annual 'Real to Reel: Portrayals and Perceptions of LGBTQ+ in Hollywood” exhibit in partnership with Los Angeles City Councilmember Mitch O'Farrell (CD-13).

Geffen Playhouse celebrated its 25th Anniversary and raised $1 million for the theater’s education, community engagement and artistic initiatives at its signature Backstage at the Geffen annual fundraiser held June 4, it was announced today. 

 Museum of the Moving Image has announced See It Big: Sondheim, a ten-film series devoted to the celebrated composer, lyricist, author, artist, and all-around innovator Stephen Sondheim. When Sondheim died last November, he didn’t just leave behind an extraordinary corpus of work—he had exited a world that his art had forever changed.

Westside School of Ballet announces long time beloved teacher, Joan Bayley, passed away on January 5th 2022, just shy of her 102nd birthday. Often called “The Greatest Dance Teacher There Ever Was,” the dance world was forever changed for the better because of Joan Bayley. (“Joan.”)

In the theatre there is no higher honour than for theatres to dim their marquee lights at the customary curtain time, 8 pm. And that’s exactly what will happen on Tuesday, November 30 at 8 pm at the CAA Ed Mirvish, the Princess of Wales and the Royal Alexandra theatres.

Award-winning Porchlight Music Theatre celebrated 26 years as the center for music theatre in Chicago, honored actor, singer, dancer Chita Rivera with The ICON Award, Rick and Deann Bayless and the Bayless Family Foundation with the Luminary Award and Latino business and civic leaders as 2021 Scene Changers at its 2021 ICONS Gala.

The museum's dungeon includes a rare and unique history of horror and suspense from Hollywood over the years including the original and complete jail sell set used for filming of “The Silence of the Lambs” and is one of the museum's most popular draws year round, with items that that include original costumes and props used in making of the film.
