The Bushwick Starr presents the very first performance of The Mayor's Office of Media & Entertainment's Off Broadway in the Boros inaugural series. For one night only, tonight, July 29th, 2016, Dave Malloy, composer/playwright of the Broadway-bound Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, brings his award-winning chamber musical GHOST QUARTET, a haunted song cycle about love, death, and whisky, to Bushwick's Maria Hernandez Park for a very special outdoor performance at sunset.

In attendance was the cast of Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 (Denee Benton, Nicholas Belton, Paul Pinto, Brittain Ashford, Nick Choksi, Gelsey Bell, Scott Strangland, Lulu Fall,Sumayya Ali, Ken Clark, Azudi Onyejekwe, Josh Canfield, Pearl Rhein, Lauren Zakrin, Courtney Bassett, Ashley Perez Flannigan, Nick Gaswirth, Billy Kiessling, Andrew Mayer) who performed 'Prologue,' 'Charming,' and 'No One Else'. The best of Broadway will be performing FREE on six consecutive Thursdays this summer with '106.7 LITE FM's Broadway in Bryant Park 2016, continuing this Thursday, July 28 (12:30pm) on the Bryant Park Stage. Hosted by LITE FM's on-air personalities, the 16th annual presentation of open-air, On- and Off- Broadway lunch hour performances will run through Thursday, August 11. This year's 106.7 LITE FM'S Broadway in Bryant Park is presented by New York-Presbyterian for Kids and TKTS Discount Ticketing Booth.

This summer, JACK presents the premiere of Toshiki Okada's Quiet, Comfort, commissioned by Hoi Polloi and directed by Alec Duffy, a duo of singer/performer Helga Davis and choreographer/dancer Ji?i Bartovanec (of the Sasha Waltz Dance Company), the premiere of the play The Animals, by Amina Henry, a new piece by choreographer Biba Bell, the second annual Brooklyn Experimental Song Carnival, curated by Valerie Kuehne, plus several concerts throughout the season.

Building on the pioneering work of composer Robert Ashley, who believed that the America of his time was a culture of TV, the fun and fearless composer collective Experiments in Opera presents VIDEO OPERAS, a collection of five premieres created specifically for the video screen (no live performers or musicians).

Created by Dave Malloy (Preludes, Ghost Quartet) and directed by Rachel Chavkin (Small Mouth Sounds, Preludes) -- making their Broadway debuts -- NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 will blaze into Broadway's Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street) beginning in the first week of October with opening night set for Monday, November 14, 2016. The Thursday concerts take place today, February 4, as well as February 11, and 18, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.
